Over the past three months, its shares have returned 9.3%, outpacing the broader Nasdaq Composite's ($NASX) marginal drop during the same period. ZBH stock has risen 8.6% on a YTD basis, lagging behind NASX's 12.6% increase. Moreover, shares of the medical device maker have dropped 1.5% over the past 52 weeks, compared to NASX's 17.2% return over the same time frame. Yet, the stock has been trading above its 200-day moving average since late July. Zimmer Biomet shares rose 2.5% on Aug. 5 after the company reported strong Q2 2026 results, with net sales increasing 4.8% to $2.18 billion and EPS jumping 33.8% to $1.03. Adjusted EPS was $2.07, operating cash flow reached $447.9 million, and free cash flow was $308.3 million, highlighting solid cash generation. The company also raised its full-year 2026 revenue and adjusted EPS guidance, supported by healthy underlying markets, progress in its commercial transformation, and continued momentum from its innovation pipeline. In comparison, rival Penumbra, Inc. (PEN) has lagged behind ZBH stock on a YTD basis, with PEN stock rising 2.6%. However, PEN stock has increased 21.3% over the past 52 weeks, outpacing ZBH stock. Due to the stock's underperformance over the past year, analysts remain cautious about its prospects. ZBH stock has a consensus rating of "Hold" from 29 analysts in coverage, and the mean price target of $105.58 represents a premium of 7.6% to current levels.
