Especially the 62-pound male. He is a stress mess, and this makes him happy. It is a giant, heavy block, and he has not been able to destroy it yet. It is a lot bigger than I pictured and has some bounce because it is rubber, but not much, given how heavy this is. The quality is great, since he has not been able to chew holes in it or shred it. I love that if it is dirty, I can toss it in the dishwasher. A couple of friends with pit bull dogs that stress easily have also purchased these, and the dogs love them. If you have a dog that loves to eat shoes, give them this instead!!!!" —Jerry & Cris Promising review: "I travel with a Yorkie, and I've bought her several car seats over the years. The first couple of versions had soft sides made of foam, and she wore those out in no time. This one is a rigid bucket-like structure, lined with soft furry fabric. She absolutely loves to sit in it, and I think she feels safe and comfortable. It's super easy to install on the lid of a console cabinet, and it holds firm, even with sudden stops. It has a little leash you can attach to their collar, but I don't, because I wouldn't want her tethered awkwardly in the event of an accident or sudden stop. The best part is that the bottom cushion is removable and washable, so I can keep it clean. That was not the case with the earlier versions I bought." —Jennifer S Blandford Price: $16.99 (originally $33.99; deal available for the medium size in two colors) Promising review: "We have four large cats ranging from 20 pounds to 8 pounds, and they all love this cat tree! It has plenty of space for them all to nap without touching, and large enough platforms for napping if they want to touch. Our girl cat is the queen of the group, or at least she thinks so, and she enjoys sitting or napping on the tallest shelf like the queen she is! The little white mice that hang from the platforms are a huge hit; poor things have been batted and chewed and basically gutted every day since we put them up. The different size napping platforms are a big hit, and the little privacy cubbies are perfect for hiding from attacking foes! Overall, our cats think this is the best thing they have ever played with. It was super easy to put together and has held up to all the commotion four cats can cause. They are indoor cats, and it looks good with the green desert theme we have for their indoor playground. Overall, couldn’t love it more!!!! 10 out of 10 stars." —joanna crudo Price: $79.99+ (originally $146.99+; available in four colors) Promising review: "I have tiny black and tan Russian Toy dogs. At night, when they go out, they blend in. I love these collars because they help me make sure my dogs are safe. The bright vivid light is clearly visible. I love the fact that there are two colors (green and blue), making it easy to distinguish who is who. The collars are lightweight and can be cut to fit, but I did not cut them - the double loops just as they come are perfect to easily put over the dogs head. I push the button three times for a steady glow after I put them on, and I think the dogs like them! Note that these are for visibility, not a collar to attach to a leash. So far, the battery life has been awesome — I haven’t had to charge them yet. They seem to be nice quality and a good value. And the little dogs look like space beings as they wander around the yard, which always makes me laugh!" —Jody Promising review: "I have to leave a review because this gate is pretty impressive. Easy to install. Has a lock. This was the best investment I’ve made for my deck. Keeps my dog contained, on my deck, of course, under my supervision. I’ve had it a little over a year, and it’s as good as the day I got it. (Stood up to a New England winter.)" —Allison Promising review: "This is the cutest dog toy and my dog instantly loved the crinkly stems. I felt like I was getting away with something at the price because it is such high quality. Gorgeous colors. If you have a big dog who could swallow toys, I don't recommend this, as the little rabbits are small and squeak, but they're perfect if your dog doesn't swallow things. Such a great find. Would buy this all over again." —Linda Draayers Promising review: "This contraption was created by a WIZARD. I have a German Shepherd mix that leaves a thick layer of fur on EVERYTHING. I will do a full groom and deep de-shedding, and she will be blowing coat the next day. (GSD owners will understand lol) I came to terms with half of my bed having a peelable layer of fur on it at all times, and both of her dog beds, that I could probably have shoveled the fur off of. I tried for YEARS to find something to fix this. THIS. THING. IS. AMAZING. How did I go almost 6 years with this pup and not have this? I am SHOOK. The issue with the handle most complain about isn't that serious... You just move your hand up the handle a little bit. I almost wept with joy when this thing eradicated 95% of the fur that was upsetting me for YEARS now." —Bliss Ann Price: $16.85 (originally $23.85; available in four colors). Promising review: "It's a little bigger than I expected, but that's not a bad thing. Between this and Fresh Step kitty litter, there is no odor, and it helps keep the kitty litter in the pan where it belongs! My kitten loves to hide in the "plant" at the top. The plant looks pretty good for being fake, and the rocks are sufficient to cover the filter completely. The top stays on well, and the pan is deep enough and pretty easy to clean. I'm pleased with my purchase." —Stephanie Lucas Price: $55.98 (originally $69.99; available in three colors) It's the perfect size for small dogs and cats. Promising review: "Perfect size for our MalShi! This is a fairly small bed, so it probably wouldn't work well for even medium-sized dogs, but for our little dog, it's perfect. She loves to jump in and curl up, it snuggles around her nicely. I've not tried to wash it yet, but it'll need washing soon! She also loves to drag it around and flip it over—so there's the added bonus of being a big 'toy' —highly recommend!" —LSC613 Promising review: "I literally just pulled this bed out of the bag, and my dogs love it. I have a 185-pound Great Dane and a mastiff around 65 pounds, and they fit great on here. Super soft and cozy, my mastiff was already snuggled in with the blanket and pillow. I hopped into their bed too, and it's nice. And washable! My Dane has a leaky pee problem, so that's what sold me." —Ashley Smith Price: $89.99 (originally $129.99; on sale in two colors at this price) The best deal is on the 30x24 size. I have the same size for a very similar mat from a different brand and have found it to be perfect — any smaller and it doesn't provide enough coverage, IMO. Promising review: "I purchased this mat and so wished I had known how great it is, long before I did so. It has really been helpful in keeping litter from being tracked throughout the entire room (no more sticking to the bottom of my bare feet!). It's easy to clean, and our two senior female calicos don't seem bothered by the mat's texture. I have actually purchased others for my family, which they have been so grateful." —Carol A. Phillips Price: $17.99 (originally $23.99; available in two colors and three sizes) Promising review: "These puppy pads are basically FEMA for my floors. Six layers of 'NOT TODAY, SATAN.' 😂 My dog can unleash absolute chaos, and somehow my floor survives untouched. Big, absorbent, leak-proof, and apparently engineered by people who have personally witnessed the horrors of puppyhood." —Tiffany R. Roberts Promising review: "I’m really happy with this harness! My kitten is 6 months old and I got him a size XS — it fits him really well. It feels secure without restricting his movement, and he can walk, sit, run around, and explore comfortably. It’s also easy to put on and adjust, and the leash is lightweight enough for a kitten. We’ve already taken it on a few walks, and he seems very comfortable wearing it. I feel much safer taking him outside knowing he can’t easily slip out of the harness. Definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to safely take their cat on outdoor adventures! 🐾💚" —Anastasiia Price: $12.58 (originally $16.98; available in four sizes and a variety of colors) Promising review: "Very sturdy and my cats love it for naps and people/bird watching. Being able to fold it up at night makes it easy to shut blinds and curtains! Both my cats weigh 10 pounds each and it hasn’t budged once." —Brooke I picked this air purifier up a few years ago to help manage the ~smell~ that sometimes wafts from my cats' litter box when it starts to get full, and to help keep my NYC apartment air cleaner in general. I'm also (lol) extremely allergic to cats, and though I get allergy shots for this, it's also nice to help cut down on the pet dander for myself and any visitors with allergies. This thing makes a DIFFERENCE. It cuts down on any noticeable smell from the cats, my air feels cleaner, and my allergies are usually non-existent in the apartment. Oh, and it's fairly quiet — it basically functions as white noise, which can be handy if you run this at night in the bedroom too. Depending on your usage and environment, it's recommended to replace the filter every 3–6 months — replacements are available on Amazon. (You can see the difference between my old filter and a new replacement one above!) Note: Be sure to take the plastic off the filter before placing it in the unit! Price: $47.97 (typically $59.96; available in two colors) — discount applied automatically at checkout Promising review: "This carpet/mat is absolutely wonderful. It has a good thickness to it. I don’t find myself having to dry their paws after they walk across it. And it looks so nice in my home. This was a great value in comparison to other mats that I’ve purchased for wet and muddy dog paws. I have washed it, and it is holding up well. It is the perfect size in front of my sliding glass door. I ordered another one for in front of my front door." —Michelle Price: $14.99 for a 47-by-22-inch mat (originally $29.99; available in four colors and five other sizes) Promising review: "My cat loves this bed!! Even when I'm not at my desk, I find her sitting in it. The best part is that when I AM working, all I have to do is sit back a bit and she scoots right by me and goes straight to HER bed!! She gets to be near me all day for easy hugs, and I can focus on work without her dancing across my keyboard all day. Perfect." —Jillbo Price: $38.69 (typically $49.99; available in three colors) Promising review: "So far so good. We water our labs outdoors because that's where they like to be. These bowls are sturdy and haven't turned green from the sun bearing down on them all day. They're great so far." —Hope Walker Price: $13.49 for two (originally $23.99) Promising review: "Super easy to assemble by looking at the diagram. I got the pink with a filter for under $20. After a few hours watching it, my curious cat finally went and drank, and drank, and drank from it. It is bigger than I imagined, and I had no idea it lit up. It makes zero sound. 😻" —Lila L. Price: $19.35 for the pink fountain (originally $24.99; also available in black and with extra filters) Promising review: "Nice size dog treat ceramic canister for my dog’s treats. Holds a nice amount, and the seal on the lid keeps them fresh for a long time. Looks cute on the kitchen countertop. I love it and am glad I got it. Very cute and functional." —Marjorie BuzzFeed Shopping is service journalism first: Our writers and editors spend all day shopping so you don’t have to, vetting products, fact-checking brand claims, and surfacing what actually helps in real life.
