McKinsey Senior Partner and Global Leader for Technology and AI Kate Smaje spoke at the WSJLI Technology Council Summit about the widening gap between AI usage and real business value. Smaje said more than 80% of executives report personal productivity gains, but only about 37% see measurable EBIT improvement—and just 6% say AI is delivering significant value for investors.
