To confirm the bullish trend, ADM has been trading above its 50-day moving average since early January, with slight fluctuations. The stock has been trading above its 200-day moving average over the past year. ADM's rally has been underpinned by tighter execution and portfolio focus, not just a favorable backdrop. The company leveraged its global origination and processing footprint to capture strong biofuels and oilseed crushing margins amid elevated energy prices and supportive RVOs, while driving nearly 5% higher oilseed volumes through better utilization and the Barcarena terminal ramp. Nutrition also contributed, led by double-digit Flavors growth with record Asia-Pacific results and improving trends at Decatur East. Management is prioritizing low-capex debottlenecking of U.S. crush and ethanol capacity to sustain momentum, raising the outlook for continued biofuels strength and Nutrition growth, while flagging commodity, weather, and geopolitical volatility as key risks to be managed via cost discipline. In the competitive arena of farm products, Bunge Global SA (BG) has taken the lead over ADM, showing resilience with a 52.5% uptick over the past 52 weeks but lagged behind the stock with 39.8% gains on a YTD basis. Wall Street analysts are cautious on ADM's prospects. The stock has a consensus "Hold" rating from the 10 analysts covering it. While ADM currently trades above its mean price target of $85.56, the Street-high price target of $97 suggests an 11.1% upside potential.
