GOP's Big Midterm Convention Kicks Off With Comically Unfortunate Malfunction
Images
Republicans were mercilessly mocked for taking a very early “L” at their midterm convention, which kicked off in Dallas on Wednesday. Just minutes into the event, dubbed “Trumpapalooza” due to the widespread belief it will be all about Donald Trump, one of the Ls in “Dallas” was visibly missing from a sign on the lectern. It’s unclear exactly how, why or when the letter disappeared. And it meant that, for the very start of the two-day gathering, speakers appeared alongside a sign that read: “Da las.” It was later fixed. But, as at least one wag on X noted, the jokes practically wrote themselves: An "L" has fallen off the podium at the Republican midterm convention pic.twitter.com/rh80OwT2CH Must have used same construction people from reflecting pool oh, there are PLENTY of Ls already in that arena. Bold move letting the signage deliver the convention’s first unforced error. Trump has reportedly declared it the most beautiful missing letter anyone’s ever seen. https://t.co/edWQ0AeNdm They didn't wanna wait until November to take the L https://t.co/ITHxtpj6VY They needed it to stick on Trump’s forehead RNC already taking Ls. Great start guys. pic.twitter.com/3Q8zwT1jOB The jokes write themselves _O_ 🤣🤣 _MAOOO 😂😂 GOD B_ESS PRESIDENT DONA_D TRUMP https://t.co/LV0fQmS9Jy By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
