“For once, my kids aren’t leaving their shoes all over the house.” —one happy reviewer

As a Deputy Editorial Director for BuzzFeed’s shopping team, I love to get into the weeds of why a product’s worth the money by deep diving into customer reviews, and product-testing as much as possible.

Finding storage solutions for a household with two adults can be difficult. But for a home with at least two kids? That's a WHOLE other ballgame, folks. Here, I gathered storage solutions from playrooms to kitchens to bedroom closets to help make things a bit tidier. At least for a little bit.

Promising review: "This organizer has been a lifesaver! My kids have been accumulating stuffed animals/dolls, and they have been piled in a mess in random corners of the house. We have also used this for any soccer balls, footballs, etc., that they may have. This was not only super easy to build, but it is also pretty deep, so it has a ton of space for all of my kids' stuffed animals. Highly recommend!" —Layla

Promising review: "We have tons of hardcover and softcover kids' books, but my 4-year-old was having a hard time getting what she wanted or putting them away because if a few were removed from the shelf, everything else would tip over. This made it difficult for her to lift and shove them to reinsert a book. So I got these dividers and crossed my fingers they would clamp to the shelf well and be a really sturdy metal to resist the weight of the large books. You can see from the before and after pics that it was chaos. Two of these dividers per shelf (and, let’s face it, some purging of books) really helped. Came back for another couple of sets of dividers for other bookshelves and linen closet organization; I like them that much!" —ebindc

Promising review: "Plushie heaven. I love how much stretch there is to this, as my kids have sooo many plush stuffed animals! Keeps them all conveniently in their space." —Alexa

Promising review: "Used to organize my kids' toothpaste/toiletry drawer. They have their own cubbies now and they love it! (No more toothbrushes touching ...heaven forbid!!)" —SpeakGreen

I FINALLY bought this for my only kitchen drawer, and it's made a huge difference. I have VERY narrow kitchen drawers in my NYC one-bedroom apartment kitchen, and buying one of these organizers has transformed my cutlery drawer. I'm able to safely reach in and grab whatever I need (like a manual can opener for tuna salad or a mini whisk for milk foam) without having to sift tools around.

Promising review: "We only have one drawer in our house, and this was perfect for storing our silverware. I have tried a 'silverware basket' and a tray in an alternative location, but neither seemed to work. My kids would mix up the silverware, and it was a pain to organize. This fits in our one drawer and still has room around the sides for oversize silverware. Each compartment fits about 9–10 pieces." —Ray-Ray

Promising review: "I wish I had taken the time to take a before and after pic because I have so much more room in there now than I did before. I found the cutest tops in there that I had completely forgotten about because my clothes were crammed in the closet so tightly. Most of the time, I felt like I had nothing to wear, LOL, and now, I know exactly what I have, and it's even organized by sleeve length and color. I would definitely buy again and actually plan to buy more for my husband and children to use as well." —Mariko Lamb

"This helps my smaller kids put up their clothes. Absolutely love these." —TStark

Each hanger holds 10 pairs of leggings. And for where my leggings used to reside? It freed up nearly a third of a drawer!

Promising review: "This is the best item for leggings. Creates more space in your closet. I use this for school clothes so my kids can get dressed more easily in the morning. One full hanger fits so many items. The kids can pull the clothes down without any help." —ByLaurenAnn

Promising review: "Purchased these for my kids' bathroom: one in early 20s, one teen, and one preteen, so there's a lot of soap, shampoo, body wash, etc., in that one bathroom. These are super sturdy and give a clean, sleek look. Follow the directions to the T, and you shouldn't have any issues. I believe when your living space is in chaos, your mind is, so I try to eliminate that for productive living. This item assisted with that in the kids' bathroom. Will be changing out the main bath to these." —Catarica

Promising review: "I have a small kitchen, and these shelves have created a ton of space for my apples, potatoes, and other fresh produce that would otherwise have been taking up valuable space on my countertop or in my refrigerator. I was able to store about 5 pounds of apples, 5 pounds of potatoes, and seven bananas on one shelf, and there was not even the slightest sign of movement. The magnet is very strong, and the shelf can easily be moved if necessary once put together. The hooks are great for bananas!" —Micah T.

These bins are great because the kids can see which toys are in them and only pull out what they want to play with, versus playing 52 card pick up with every toy trying to search for the one they actually want." —Kindle Customer

When I saw how durable and well-made they were, and how much space they saved, and how easy they were to use, I bought more! They were also a great value for the money, and I was able to just walk into my closet and see all my clothes, so they were all visible as soon as I opened my closet, no more searching through drawers. The next two packs I bought, I even used to hang my hoodies; these things are super durable and sturdy. I highly recommend these little darlings for anyone trying to get organized." —Sissy

As you can see, the rainbow one is standing up best because I filled it with stuffed animals to stretch out the creases, etc. I haven't done that with the two others, so they're still a little floppy. Very happy with the purchase and would buy again!" —jhfitness
