I'm a Shopping Editor who uses my passion for hitting "add to cart" (and my 8+ years in media) to curate the best products on the web — I'm particularly passionate about finding the best beauty products, which probably stems from my days of working at Lush Cosmetics, where I learned about effective skincare ingredients while getting covered in bath bomb dust every day. Every month, we round up recommendations from writers and editors across BuzzFeed for products they've tried and love, to help you discover vetted things you might also love. Yes, these are our personal reviews! In our September 2026 edition, we're raving over all kinds of smart finds, including a game-changing (and surprisingly affordable) digital camera upgrade, piercing bump solution with jaw-dropping results, and a mesh short-sleeve shirt that'll become your new workout go-to. "I LOVE these reusable nails. Every time I wear them, I get so many compliments. Plus, they're durable, too. I'm not the gentlest on my hands (I mean...I literally type for a living), and these last a decent length of time, even for me. I use them with the included sticky tabs and the Kiss nail glue, and they last me about a week. Make sure to properly remove them, though — because once they're on, they are *on.*" —Karly Jacklin Get it from Amazon for $13.99 (available in sizes XS–M and 28 style designs). Want more cute Smoko character lights? There are three other characters available here — and you can swap their furniture around if you get several!! "This light is SO CUTE. I love how it looks on my bookshelf. It's like Billie Beets is reading the same books I am! When it's lit up, it adds such a nice touch of ambiance to my room. I love turning it on while I'm reading because it feels like I'm reading with a little friend. I also love squeezing it every now and then. When I'm working on something and need something to do with my hands, I can squish and play with it almost like a fidget toy." —Brittney Trinh Read more about tea tree oil at Mayo Clinic. And, well, yes — I did sleep on it. Nobody's perfect, as they say. BUT! My pain was not for nothing, because at least it gave me the chance to see how well these swabs worked! Over the course of two weeks, I cleaned the top of my piercing twice a day with the Base Laboratory gel swabs, and on the bottom, I used standard saline solution. As you can see, the swabs helped completely cleared the bump, while the saline just reduced it in size. Safe to say, these are absolutely worth the purchase." —Karly Jacklin Get it from Amazon for $12.99 for a 36-pack (also available in a 72-pack). Note: You may have to use more than one sticker for extra bright lights. "I use these all over our home anytime we get something that shines light too brightly in the dark. So far, I’ve put them on our air purifier and several charging blocks and accessories. They stick on easily, dim immediately, and have stayed on with no problem since I first stuck them on in 2022. The variety of sizes makes it simple to choose one that fits. A true instant problem-solver!" —Natalie Brown LightDims is a small biz based in Las Vegas. "Have you seen the videos where people spray this stuff on their full face of makeup, dunk their head underwater, and then emerge without one smear of mascara in sight?? Well, that's what convinced me to give this stuff a try — and here I am still using it about a year later. It really is THAT good. As a very sweaty girl (especially in the summer), I was always in search of a way to keep my makeup from melting down my face. This setting spray has kept it fully in tact during nights out with friends, busy days of running errands (including going to the gym), and even long hangouts by the pool. If I know I'm going to have a long day and I don't want my makeup to budge, then this is what I use. I have even bought the travel size to take on my trips. I know it's pricey, so I do usually keep a cheaper setting spray on my vanity too for more chill days, but that's mostly just because I get so sad when my One/Size setting spray runs out!" —Kayla Boyd Psst! Daniel here — I am also quite obsessed with the bronzing version of this setting spray, which adds a super natural-looking bronzing effect to my very fair skin and keeps me looking matte for hours. I was so nervous it would look either orange or too dark on me, but it's a super subtle bronze shade that's easily buildable. Honestly, it kind of gives the same airbrushed effect a good skin tint provides, rather than a full-on spray-tan effect, so it's super user-friendly. I applied it before taking a long two-hour trek from the depths of Brooklyn to Stamford, Connecticut (several subway trips, lots of walking in the sun), and miraculously, my skin wasn't as shiny as a disco ball by the time I returned home! Get the original formula from Sephora for $18+ (available in two sizes) and the bronzing version for $34 (available in two shades). "I have been a ride-or-die for the One/Size On 'Til Dawn Setting Spray, but the price was getting a little hard to keep restocking on, so I decided to give L'Oreal a chance, and boy, did it not disappoint. It feels very similar on the skin, giving my makeup a matte finish without feeling like I added another heavy layer to my face. I've tested it out in intense humidity, rain, and at outdoor events where I had a full beat for over 12 hours — it didn't budge." —Mariel Guzman Get it from Amazon for $10.98 (also available in a pack of two). You'll get one of seven designs. Also, you'll need a 1GB–128GB TF memory card, since one is not included in the package. "If there's one thing my friends know about me, it's that I take A LOT of pictures. And as a millennial who grew up making scrapbooks, using disposable cameras and digicams, I absolutely love the nostalgia of this thing. It's such a fun throwback to those low-quality, no overthinking, just-for-the-memories photo moments that many of us grew up with. But, the modern twist of it having a super tiny screen and being able to clip on your bag as a cute little accessory really just adds to the ~charm~ of it, imo. I've taken it around with me on trips to Europe and Japan, and I've whipped it out at gatherings with friends and family. People alwaysss ask me about it and want the link! And with such an affordable price tag, I already plan to start gifting these to friends and family members. It's seriously such a fun little gadget to carry around! Just don't forget to grab a micro SD card so you can transfer all your memories to your phone or computer." —Kayla Boyd "If you want to upgrade your Instagram game without spending, like, $1,500 on a film camera, then this is for you. The CS-Pro is basically a digital camera without the screen, but it's made to look like and produce pics like an old film camera. Instead of paying to print out each photo, you just upload them directly to your laptop or phone (for free and without needing Wi-Fi, apps, or subscriptions, thank god). It comes with a flash and four different filters (including black-and-white), and you can easily toggle between the settings for whatever mood you're in. I recently went on a 12-day cruise through Alaska, and my friend brought this camera with her, and I liked it so much that I got one for myself. It stores 500 pics at a time, is super lightweight/durable, and comes with a USB-C cord to upload all the pics and recharge the camera. I'm obsessed." —Spencer Althouse "My skin is pretty sensitive and tends to get angry with me whenever I introduce something new, so I’m usually pretty cautious about trying new products. I’d also been wanting to get into Korean skincare for a while, especially after hearing so many of my friends rave about it. So when I was gifted a couple of Osier products a few months ago, I figured it was the perfect time to see if I could really notice a difference. Two months in, I can confidently say this switch has been one of the best skincare decisions I’ve made. The vitamin C serum has probably become my favorite. I’ve tried a lot of vitamin C serums, and I feel like so many of them are sticky or tacky and make my rosacea flare up. This one has a silky, almost velvet-like texture that doesn't aggravate my skin at all. I can definitely tell that my complexion is brighter, and my skin tone is visibly more even. The serum has officially made its way into the 'I don’t want to run out of this' category for me! In addition, I love what this brand stands for. When I first learned that Osier gives a portion of its proceeds to recovery programs, it immediately made me think of my brother, who struggled with addiction before he passed away. I love that when you buy from Osier, you’re also helping support someone else on their recovery journey and making a difference in their life." —Krista Torres Get the Brighter Days Vitamin C serum from Amazon for $54, and check out the full line here. "I bought the green aventurine 'K' necklace, and I wear it almost every day — it's SO cute, and it's durable, too. It held up through swimming at both pools and lakes, showering, and sleeping in it." —Karly Jacklin Get it from Amazon for $15.99 (available in letters A–Z and in four colors). "When I first started training to run more 5Ks, I was wearing a lot of old T-shirts, but I quickly realized that they could feel pretty awkward while running. Sometimes they were too heavy, the sleeves were too long or too short, or the shirts were so short that I had to keep tugging them down. Other times, they were too long, and I’d worry that I looked a little too much like Adam Sandler while running. I tend to go for bigger shirts because they’re looser. I don’t love the feeling of tighter clothing because it makes me feel restricted. This mesh short-sleeve shirt has become my go-to for running. It’s super breathable and gives me all the shoulder and arm freedom I need. It doesn’t ride up, and the material feels really good on my skin. It lets me focus on my run without constantly adjusting my clothes, which definitely helps me keep that runner’s high going. I’m excited to wear it for my upcoming half-marathon!" —Brittney Trinh Get it from Amazon for $58 (available in women's sizes XS–XL and three colors) or Flipbelt for $59 (available in women's sizes XS–XL and five colors). "I've used this primer exclusively since about 2018, and it works just as well as the Mac and Urban Decay primers I used before it! Even glittery shadows effortlessly stay on through rain, sweat, or eye-rubbing. I've gone through several tubes over the past six or so years, and it never disappoints." —Natalie Brown "As a city apartment dweller (previously NYC and now Detroit) — and one with A LOT of stuff — I am always looking for ways to save space and keep everything organized. This genius utensil organizer more than doubled my drawer space. I love how it has little icons on it, so I'm not constantly grabbing a spoon when I need a fork, and it allows me to store tons of other kitchen tools and utensils in the same drawer. Honestly, I think every small kitchen should have this." —Kayla Boyd BuzzFeed Shopping is service journalism first: our writers and editors spend all day shopping so you don’t have to, vetting products, fact-checking brand claims, and surfacing what actually helps in real life.
