"My friend and I just sat there wide-eyed and kept shooting each other reactive looks. When we got up to leave, I turned to walk to the door, and to my horror, the people sitting there were my two managers at my college gig at a bookstore. Very soon after, they drastically cut back my hours, and I quit. I wanted out anyway, but damn was that wild."
