This is made of sisal wood, which is stronger and sturdier than cardboard (the common material for scratching posts). Promising review: "The average cat scratching post is a hideous blend of string and beige carpet that sucks the soul from any room in which it is placed. Not this one. This scratching post is sleek, well made and unassuming, blending easily into any room. It arrived well packaged and was easy to install with the hardware provided. Furthermore, it is robustly constructed and stands up to constant use by my cat." —D James Get it from Amazon for $39.99 (also available in cream). Promising reviews: "I have many cats. My oldest is diabetic . Before he was diagnosed , was urinating frequently and not always finishing inside the box. Plus the high volume of urine caused clumping litter to stick to and harden on his paws. So much so that he didn't want to use the litter box. Protecting my floors was a real chore. Till I finally found this litter box. Thanks to the breeze box I no longer spend hours laying plastic down, cleaning accidents, deodorizing and drying floors. Every thing stays inside and odor free. Easy peasy. Saved my floors." —sherry l nicholl BuzzFeed Shopping editor Jenae Sitzes had this to say: "I have this exact toy for my cats, and it's easily their favorite thing to play with — and they have a lot of toys. I first noticed they loved string because they tore apart a mouse toy that was basically string wrapped around a plastic mouse shape — they didn't care about the mouse, but they loved the torn-apart string (aka literal trash at this point). I got this rainbow toy because I realized they really just wanted to chase long tail-like objects, and they sure do light up whenever they see me pick up this wand and know that it's playtime. I love that it's long, so I can just sit on my couch and whisk it around the area, and even shy little Chicho, who likes to sit further back and watch while his older brother plays (as seen in the GIF above), can still bat at it. It's a super simple toy, but the amount of joy it'll probably bring your kitty is worth every penny." Promising review: "We bought one of these about five years ago, and it was a hit. It has been well used and finally starting to fray a bit. We have a new kitten, and she absolutely loves this toy. Like others have said, she will drag this thing around and bring it to us to get us to play with her. I just ordered another one." —Jayster Promising review: "My cats absolutely love this thing! When I was putting it together, my 20-pound tabby immediately went inside the tube, and did not come out for over an hour! It was easy to put together (even with a 20-pound cat inside lol). But, this entire thing set up is about 3 feet long. It is HUGE. Make sure you have room!! The material is surprisingly soft, outside and inside the tunnel. And the light coloring allows light to filter through, which my cats like (I had a black tunnel that neither of them would go into). My smaller 10-pound tabby (black nose) LOVES to run around the house, and now he has added running a few laps inside this tunnel to his run lol. Both cats play in this ALL THE TIME. Both on the inside chasing each other, or one on the inside and one outside batting at each other. They use the tunnel as a good napping spot, and also a spot to hide from the vacuum or guests they aren't sure of. This has gotten soooooo much use from both cats. I would highly recommend this!!" —Trebeca Get it from Amazon for $21.10+ (available in four colors/patterns). Promising review: "I love this thing. It really does pick all the hair and lint off of our cloth couch. Def worth the buy since it is reusable! No favric damage from use, it has lasted a year so long and still works perfectly. The compartment opens for you to clean it. It works on all fabrics from thicker cloth to thinner sheets." —Janelle Get it from Amazon for $24.99+ (available in four colors/patterns and in a mini version). Promising review: "None of my cats like to play with toys! They have so much energy but would get bored with any toy within days. I tried rotating them and interactive toys, anything and everything for hours and at different times. There is nothing that has kept my cats busy like these grooming tools! I have literally never seen any of them sit and mess with something for more than a few minutes but my cats will rub on this for like 20 min at a time. 100% worth the money!" —Amazon Customer P.S. Don't forget to add some catnip to your cart so you can make your cat an offer they can't refuse! Promising review: "This litter box mat works well for catching litter before it gets tracked around the house. It’s a good size, easy to place in front of the litter box, and helps keep the area cleaner. The design is simple and practical, and it’s easy to shake out or clean when needed." —Rebecca Oubre Get it from Amazon for $13.99+ (available in four sizes and five colors). Promising review: "Our kitten, Spazz, LOVES the Purr Pillow!!! He loves to tackle and body slam the purple guy, as we call it, and grab it, bite it, and kick it with his hind legs! If there were ever a soft plush kitten/cat toy that can take extreme punishment, the Purr Pillow is it!!! He loves it so much, that when we give it to him, he'll run off with it in his mouth and put it in his special mini cardboard box. The Purr Pillow is more than worth its cost!!!" —Denice C. I'll be honest, I didn't expect much when I bought this toy but I was pleasantly surprised when my cat took to it right away. She'll play with it when she's full of energy as well as when she wants some lazy playtime before bed. It comes with six balls – three solid colors and three with bells inside. I keep the three solid balls in the tower (she hasn't been able to knock any loose yet!) and the others on reserve for swatting around the house. Promising review: "My cat loves to chase around toys, especially balls, but he has a problem with wanting to break them apart. This toy has been great! It was easy to assemble and keeps him entertained. The price point was also great too compared to other cat toys." —mutton Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in seven colors and various packs). Promising review: "We adopted a stray kitten and we were having trouble getting her to put on weight. She was a picky eater and it took a while to find food she liked. But she loves Churu and gets 2–3 per day as a treat to help her gain weight! I'm so glad she loves these, and we will continue to use them as treats for her and our other cats." —Michele B. Promising review: "I have a cat that only likes a few things, and she obsesses over those things. Cardboard scratchers are one of her favorite things. I love that this comes with three inserts that can be flipped over. Basically it's six scratchers. This will last her several months and we will be back for more when she goes through them all. Also, the price for this item was so much better than many others I see out there." —Samantha Get it from Amazon for $15.99+ (available in four sizes and a refill pad option). Promising review: "I was getting sick of using a small bathroom trashcan when cleaning my cat's litter box, it was unsightly and did nothing to contain the smell. This Litter Genie looks so much nicer, it's much more convenient to use and traps the odors much better. It was easy to set up, and I like that instead of having to go get another trash bag when it's full I just have to pull out the roll and tie up a new waste bag (the cutter tool is also very nice to have)." —Sara M. Promising review: "My cat loves this thing. I leave it plugged in and leave it on. When it turns on automatically my cat will go wild with it for a little bit even though I have had it for a while. This is one of his favorite toys." —Cody Get it from Amazon for $19.98 (available in white and grey). BuzzFeed Shopping editor Jenae Sitzes swears by it: "This is THE cat bed, y'all. Neither of my cats have ever really taken to a cat bed and much preferred to doze on their cat tree or curl up on a regular blanket — until I finally caved in and bought the Aspen self-warming bed a while back. IMMEDIATELY upon placing it on my couch, one of my cats crawled into it and happily began napping. As soon as he moved away, my other cat jumped in to take it for a test run as well — and immediately curled up as well. After about a week of them taking turns using it (literally, the cat *not* in the bed would lay next to it waiting for the other to leave — my polite boys 🥹), I realized I needed to buy a second one. They immediately took to that one as well, and now, they both have access to their favorite bed whenever they like! Whenever I put my hand underneath them, I can definitely feel how warm they are underneath, so the bed's self-warming feature seems to work well. I think what they love most about it is the shape and how unbelievably cushy it is. And the sides of the bed are supportive enough for them to put their heads on, but still flexible enough for them to stretch out however they like. While the listing recommends this bed for cats under 10 pounds, larger cats will be just fine, as Sneaky is quite large (his affectionate nickname is "Chonky"), and he adores this bed. Most of all, I love knowing they won't be cold at night, especially when I'm away from home. Knowing I'll never have to waste money on another cat bed that sits unused is just the cherry on top. Highly recommend!!" Promising review: "This butterfly toy is great and so far as I can tell, durable. My cats are pretty rough on their toys, and this thing seems like it will last quite a while. The best thing about it is the balance. This is the first one of these types of toys that my cats have not knocked over! That's amazing!" —Kake Promising review: "I have bought so many products over the years to remove hair off my cat. THIS product really works great!!! Spray a little water as they advise on little nubs, and massage your cat. Keep rubbing until the gloves are full, then peel the hair off them. My cat loves them, and they remove more loose hair than any other product. A must-have!" —Debbie Strahm Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in six colors). Promising review: "Fantabulous water fountain. I am so happy. Cats are drinking lots of water. There is no sound. It looks perfect and chic. The material of product is aesthetically beautiful and durable. The filtration is quiet and performative. Cleaning and set up easy and efficient. Great fountain." —raz penot Promising review: "My cat lay down inside this bed as soon as I took it out of the package. She sleeps on top and inside. She’s very old and sick, so she likes the warmth." —Liz Get it from Amazon for $29.99+ (available in six colors and three styles). Promising review: "The dragonfly in the pack is my playful 6-year-old cat's favorite thing! He plays with it for literally HOURS every day. And it’s been up for a month and a half now. It might not have wings or eyeballs anymore, but it’s still entertaining him!" —Ashley Promising review: "Yes, this is a little noisy and a little heavy, BUT it gets the job done! If you have pets, this is a must have for furniture, beds, etc. The motorized pet hair brush is always connected to my unit and has made my life and cleanup so much easier. I would highly recommend." —Greenpoint Promising reviews: "Got this camera to check on my senior cat during the day. The live feed loads quickly, and the night vision is surprisingly clear. Being able to reassure her with the two-way audio has been a huge help. Really happy with this device so far." —Angelica "This camera works really well and is super affordable! I bought this after rescuing a new kitten so I could monitor him while I was at work. Once I finally figured out the best spot to put it, it really helped to give me peace of mind knowing that he was alright. And now that he’s older, it’s just fun to check in on him and see what he’s doing! I also love the two-way audio, although it seems to confuse my poor kitty. 😆 I do recommend getting a micro SD card for it as well, so you can go back through the recordings in case you need to. Overall, a very good camera for the price!" —Jay Get it from Chewy for $29.99 (originally $34.99). Promising review: "I bought these treats hoping to improve one of my cats' breath, and the day we got them, all of our cats devoured them (I gave them about six treats each). In fact, after I put them away, our Maine Coon got on the kitchen counter and was trying to knock the treat container down to open it up. He definitely wanted more." —Sheila B. Get it from Amazon for $3.48+ (available in four sizes). Promising review: "Our cats love this and it's the perfect way to give them food overnight without them eating all of it within the first 30 minutes and vomiting on the kitchen floor! They really like the challenge, and the size makes it really easy to regulate the amount of food we are giving them. We got two of them so they could both play/eat and that really solved our problems." —Charity Crabtree Get it from Amazon for $7.95 (available in four colors). Promising review: "I have a very active, playful cat who gets bored easily. I’ve bought him a lot of toys, and this is by far his favorite. It actually keeps him entertained and is big enough that it won’t get lost under the couch. He goes nuts for it and plays with it until it tires him out. It’s been amazing for getting his energy out. Highly recommend!" —Emma Bode Get it from Amazon for $14.49 (available in three colors). Promising review: "It was easy to put together, and no installation is required; it simply fits onto the window track and rests on the wall below. No holes made in your walls are a big plus! It is very sturdy but easily relocated if needed. I have two cats, and both fit quite comfortably together. The material is of great quality, and the bed portion is thick, super soft, and cushy. This has become their favorite place to nap or watch birds." —Jeff Drew Get it from Amazon for $32.99+ (available in two sizes and four colors). Promising review: "Holy cannoli, I LOVE this litter scoop. It is strong, easier to use than plastic ones, the size is fantastic, and it makes litter duty a cleaner task. I am grateful I decided to purchase it, and I definitely recommend it for the cat peeps out there." —Tina Get it from Amazon for $8.50+ (available in two sizes and 18 colors). Promising review: "This toy was definitely considered a disposable toy for us; however, my cat loved it so much! It took him a good two to three weeks to tear up all the cardboard. He loved scratching at the grass part. The cardboard pieces are all torn off, but I kept the turf/grass part around as a scratcher. Highly recommend if your cat needs a new activity to keep them busy!" —Marissa Czyzewski Promising review: "These mini blankets are such a great bargain! My cat loves them. I pile three together and place them in different parts of the house. She loves to knead them and lie on them. I even have unwrapped extras to replace these if necessary. Great bang for your buck!" —Kathleen Shannon Get a three-pack from Amazon for $17.99+ (available in three sizes and six colors). * Things From Chewy Cat Owners Should Run, Not Walk, To Buy * If You Refuse To Let Having Cats Ruin Your Aesthetic, Here Are 24 Products That’ll Fit Into Your Home’s Decor * Anyone Who Thinks Their Cat Is Basically Royalty Needs These 30 Walmart Products * If Your Life Revolves Around Your Cat, Here Are 35 Things That'll Make Them Happy BuzzFeed Shopping is service journalism first: our writers and editors spend all day shopping so you don’t have to, vetting products, fact-checking brand claims, and surfacing what actually helps in real life.
