Additional context: OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush and four other passengers died on the Titan submersible when it imploded while they were attempting to view the Titanic's remains. Karl Stanley, a friend of Stockton's and an expert in the commercial submersible field, testified that "[Stockton] knew that eventually it was going to end like this and he wasn’t going to be held accountable."

Additional context: Meat Loaf (real name Michael Lee Aday) said in one of his last interviews, "If I die, I die, but I’m not going to be controlled,” in reference to the COVID pandemic.

Additional context: The Sentinelese strongly resist contact with outsiders, and their isolation is protected by law. Before his death, John wrote that a young boy on the island attempted to shoot him with an arrow, which hit his Bible instead.

"For reference, if needed... Yes, he was as good as Michael Jordan. At least that was what everyone who knew him said."

Additional context: After collapsing, he was taken to a hospital where doctors discovered that his appendix had actually ruptured several days earlier. At the time, doctors believed the punch was what caused his appendicitis, but cases of "traumatic appendicitis" are extremely rare.
