The death of actor Tim Curry on Tuesday night inspired a flood of social media tributes on Wednesday.

After the 80-year-old actor’s passing was announced, his friends, fans and colleagues all took to various platforms to honor his life and work.

Carol Burnett, who starred with Curry in the 1982 movie version of “Annie,” took to Instagram to pay tribute to her co-star, saying, “We had such a wonderful time working together on ‘Annie.’ Nobody could play lovable villains better than he could.”

Comedian Jillian Bell posted a photo of Curry while declaring he “was the person who made me want to be an actor.”

The Muppets posted a photo on their Instagram page showing Curry dressed as Long John Silver from “Muppets Treasure Island,” saying, “Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry.”

Over on X, other former Curry colleagues and fans sung his praises.
