Bitwise has launched a new product that lets eligible investors outside the U.S. automatically follow professionally designed portfolios of tokenized U.S. stocks while keeping the assets in their own wallets. The crypto asset manager's Automated Token Portfolios, or ATPs, are rules-based portfolios created by Bitwise Investment Manager, the company said in a Tuesday announcement. The portfolios use Coinbase's tokenized stocks and are implemented through Glider, an onchain portfolio automation platform. The initial offerings will focus on themes including the Magnificent 7 technology companies plus SpaceX (NASDAQ: $SPCX), robotics, and artificial intelligence leaders. Bitwise will charge a 0.15% methodology access fee, excluding trading and platform costs. The tokenized stocks remain in investors' non-custodial wallets, according to Bitwise. "For over a century, getting a professional model meant handing your assets to a fund. ATPs mean you can keep the assets in your own wallet, and the model comes to you," Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan said. Keeping the assets onchain could also allow investors to use them in decentralized finance applications, including potentially lending or borrowing against their holdings. The product comes as Bitwise continues to expand its range of crypto products. In January, the company partnered with Morpho on curated non-custodial vaults focused on USDC yields. In February, Bitwise introduced seven professionally managed crypto portfolios for financial advisers, with systematic monitoring and rebalancing. The firm later made those crypto model portfolios available to retail investors through Parrot's platform. Bitwise's Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) ETF fund, Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (NYSEARCA: $BITB), is the fifth largest Bitcoin ETF in the U.S. with around $3 billion in net assets, according to data from SoSoValue.
