I am a contributor who has been writing for BuzzFeed Shopping for two years, with a focus on products that make parenting just a bit easier — and hopefully more fun — home decor, kitchen gadgets, and whatever deals I can scope out. Promising review: "This is much easier (and safer) than baby nail clippers that can cut the baby's fingers. It is surprisingly quiet, so I can do my 3-month-old's nails as they sleep! Even works on my 3-year-old who loves to do it by himself." —Savannah Promising review: "This item is great! Even if you're bathing a baby, or you've got a small child. This item works. I'd buy this again and again. No more worrying about any bathtub injuries." —Jo We've had ours for about six and a half years now, and I still use it. Before we found this little lifesaver, we tried other options that just never made us or our kids comfortable. Once we bought this one, we had faaaar fewer hair-washing fights. Promising review: "Great product for all kids! I have a 10-month-old and a 5-year-old, and this works great for rinsing soap out of their hair while keeping soap out of their eyes! It's a soft silicone material, so it forms to their head to make sure the water goes where you want it! Also doubles as a great bath toy!" —Alaina With my first, I got so many bibs. They worked for liquids only, but when we introduced solids I realized they were NOT going to work anymore. One run-in with spaghetti and the thing was absolutely ruined for good. Once I found these, I realized just how much of my laundry was bibs, and this cut down on a ton of stress. When my daughter was done, I'd wash it in soapy water and hang it on the high chair for the next use. I even stashed one in the diaper bag for meals out. Promising review: "Very creatively designed bib. Especially for people like me who hate cleaning bib stains, all the dirt washes right off. Only downside to it is that the dirt doesn't get absorbed and can get on babys face if you dont remove it from the bib in time. Would definitely recommend!!" —Akiva Price: $10 for four bibs (originally $18.99; available in three color sets) Price: $12.39+ for a set of five (available in two themes) Promising review: "My daughter's nose was so stuffy and could not get relief. I purchased hoping they would help. These little wipes opened her nose right up. I highly recommend. Way better than blowing with regular tissue. I'll be keeping these handy." —Anna So many people swear by humidifiers, but I had never used one prior to having a baby. If you're a skeptic like I was, I can verify that getting a humidifier has been so helpful, especially now that my kids are a bit older. Whenever I see the first sign of a sniffle, I pull the humidifier out and have seen a dramatic improvement, versus just gritting my teeth and holding on until it passed. Promising review: "This is the best humidifier I've owned! I have purchased three now — one for each of the bedrooms! It's silent! But has the option for white noise; my kids love watching the color-changing lights (although we turn that off for sleeping), and it is easy to clean! And the top loader is nice! We have a pitcher and fill them up about every other night (if it's been running on low)." —Val Price: $54.99+ (available in four colors) Promising review: "Purchased this item for my daughter and new grandbaby. Daughter totally approves. She uses it for checking fever, bath temp, baby food temp — you name it, she has checked. So far, so good." —Buyit Promising review: "This nasal aspirator saved me. I almost broke down because my baby caught a cold and had a lot of nasal mucus, but it was difficult to clean up because he was too young. But this nasal aspirator solves this problem very well." —Bertha Promising review: "The instruction for the bottle warmer is very self-explanatory, and the operation is very easy. It heats formula and breast milk alike effectively and evenly in a timely manner. I also heated baby food with it, too, and it does an amazing job. Unlike my old warmer, which does not have a lid, the lid traps the steam, making my kitchen less humid, and it does the heating more efficiently. Overall, it's a great product due to said facts." —Luke Price: $39.99 (originally $49.99; available in three colors) Price: $229.99 (available in two colors) Promising review: "This seat is literally a must-have if your baby is trying to sit up! My son just turned 4 months four days ago — we have had this for about a month, and he loves it. He can sit up and look around without being held. I can get so much done, and he can still see me. Love it. The only thing is my baby has some chunky thighs, so when getting him out, I have to lean in and hug-hold him, and then put the other hand on the seat to pull him out. It does not hurt him — he actually thinks it's funny. When it's not being used, it folds pretty flat, and we keep it under the changing table. I would recommend to other parents, and I'm buying one for a friend as well." —Kay Price: $43.87 (available in two patterns) Promising review: "My baby loves this toy. When she was only a few months old, she liked to stare at the lights and listen to the music, but now that she's old enough to operate it, she loves it even more. It plays segments of good classical music. I'd highly recommend for everyone to get this." —Bridg Promising review: "I purchased these devices after seeing the mom on Shark Tank who designed the device. I gave one to my new-mom friend with long nails and another to a grandmother with arthritis. The feedback I received was that grandma would not have been able to get her granddaughter out of the rear-facing car seat without this device. I now give them as baby shower gifts!!" —Susan Promising review: "These work well, especially with a newborn when you are constantly changing them. Don't take up a lot of room and quick to wash." —Donna Price: $11.29+ (available in a three- or six-pack) Promising review: "I love the Dr. Browns Mixer. It saves time and saves wasted milk that ends up on the counter when making bottles. It also saves money from wasted milk bottles because you can just pour an ounce if your child just wants a top-off. Remember that the amount you make will rise based on the formula increasing the volume, so if you are making exactly enough, take that into consideration so you don't have too much milk." —Lynda Promising review: "Works well, I like it because I didn’t really want a big high chair taking up space plus my little can sit right with us at the table" —Savannah Promising review: "It steams food so much easier than steaming or cooking on the stove. The consistency is just right. I wish I had bought this months ago when my toddler first started eating food. Very convenient. Blending food with this device is much better than a blender. The food consistency is so much better!! I absolutely love it!!!" —Shenea Price: $89.99+ (originally $129.99; available in two versions) Promising review: "These are amazing! The bottom seals tightly and doesn't leak. They make feeding my daughter on the go SO much easier." —Jamie Price: $7.98+ (originally $9.99+; available in a 4- and 8-count) I have an older version of the Hatch for both of my kids and I love how easy it is to use and that I can set up several programs. They have different signal colors for staying in bed, playing quietly, and coming out of their rooms. Such an easy way to communicate with kids who can't tell time yet. Promising review: "Originally had a regular hatch, loved it so much we bought this for our room. Well, it's now the one we use in the nursery. Love how easy it is to read the clock at night, different light and sound options. Came with 6 months of hatch subscription for free which gives guides for sleep training and naps etc. Huge fan!!! Love that you can make a schedule to keep on track and help him wind down, sleep and wake on time. I can also tell the functions will be easy for him to use on his own as he gets older. The child lock option on the app is also incredible. Can't say enough good things!" —Jessica Promising review: "I love that the play yard is very easy to set up. My 1-year-old loves it. She has a lot of space to move around and play with her toys. I am able to watch her play in it while I work. It has helped us a lot because she likes to climb. It is made very well, and the bag it is in makes it easy to transport. I am a little upset my friends with kids didn't let me know about the play yard sooner!" —Jessica Promising review: "Yessss!!! This is the third sound machine we purchased (trying to get one for every room). It has become our favorite and we transport it from room to room over using the others. The white noise is pleasant (some others are so grating on the nerves it's hard to take or there are strange background noises). This has a constant dull white noise. I also like the beach sound. It goes louder than our other sound machines but not loud enough to damage eardrums. I love that it is portable but also can be used while charging/plugged in. We keep it plugged in by his crib to use at night and grab it when on the go. It's great to take to the doctor's appts or on walks in the stroller. It calms him down and will put him to sleep or at least usually make him stop crying. I will buy this for every new parent and recommend it over all other sound machines! So glad we got it." —Beachbum Everybody’s body and skin are different, so what works for one person may not work for another. Promising review: "This cream has helped clear up my baby's eczema so much in the last month since I've been using it. I was using regular Eucerin before, and it helped a little bit, so I decided to try this. I thought it was mostly the same formula — just tailored to moms desperate enough to spend the extra money on something labeled 'for babies,' but I was wrong! I'm pleasantly surprised that it's been helping, and I will continue to buy." —Hannah Promising review: "This is the cutest toy ever! Works great and baby is obsessed." —Stan Promising review: "Honestly I thought this would be overkill for my sons bath toys, but this thing is amazing. It keeps everything clean and gives it a chance to dry out instead of sitting in water and building up bacteria. I would give it six stars if I could." —Dax Promising review: "Cute, safe, indestructible blocks. These are for my very active 1 year-old grandson, so he can play happily for short periods by himself without all of us hovering over him!! He loves to put small items into containers and I'm hoping these blocks encourage that wonderful, age-appropriate play.
