One actor had her marriage annulled on the grounds that it was never consummated...only for him to turn out to be the father of her son!

As a staff writer at BuzzFeed, I write about all things celeb, pop culture, and books.

Warning: This post mentions heavy drug use and domestic violence.

He said, "I was wrong for obviously lying, and I shouldn't have been in that position... I dealt with all this drama, and then at that point just realize… I finally got the balls to say, 'Hey, listen, I'm not ready for this, I'm sorry.' At that point, I was not ready to settle down. I wasn't man enough to know how to go about handling it."

The "horrible" situation spurred Ali to make several positive life changes, such as taking more ownership of her modeling career. She told the Unfolding Leadership podcast, "I look back on that situation, which was horrible, and I thank God every single day, because it changed me as a woman. It changed the way…I walk through this world, 100 percent. I am so much better because that happened. I am forever grateful for that."

However, Patty didn't believe what the DNA test said. She told People, "I don't buy that test. I can support his truth as long as my truth, if not supported, is respected. I have told him I know what I know to be true. When God looks me in the eye and says, 'Anna Marie, you have been mistaken all these years,' then I will consider [Michael's paternity]."

In the docuseries, James said, "I just had to be with her all the time. I think we were just so both in love with each other that we just needed to block everyone else out."

Unfortunately, that wasn't the last Britney heard from him. When she married Sam Asghari in 2022, Jason allegedly tried to crash the wedding. On Instagram Live, he reportedly said, "Britney Spears invited me here. She's my first wife. My only wife."

He was arrested, and Britney and Sam were granted a restraining order against him. Charged with aggravated trespassing and battery, he was sentenced to 128 days in prison.

In a joint statement, the former couple said, "The miscommunication of the objective of their marriage at the start is the only reason for this annulment. Renée and Kenny value and respect each other and are saddened that their different objectives prevent the success of this marriage."

Then in 2015, he told the outlet, "Nothing positive at all in my life came from [the marriage], I can tell you that. I didn't have any clue as to what true marriage meant. I was so used to committing to one thing — music — and then I had to totally commit to a second thing, marriage. I didn't know how. It was a scary moment for me. I had never really had any kind of attention from the paparazzi. It went from zero to the complete other end of the spectrum. I'd go to a concert, and there would be helicopters circling, trying to get a picture of me and her together. I thought it would be like that all the time. I just totally panicked. I did the only thing I knew to do: I ran. I pushed her away, in every way possible — to the point where I just didn't want to be married to her anymore. It's that simple. I still struggle with it. Was it the right thing to do or not? I still think about her every day. Every day I wonder if she's okay. I mean, you don't just fall out of love with somebody."

In 2016, Renée addressed the rumors that Kenny was gay, telling the Advocate, "I forgot about that. It's a pretty big thing to forget, isn't it? That made me sad. It made me sad that somehow people were using that as a way to be cruel and calling someone gay as a pejorative, which has fateful consequences. Of course, there's the bigger-picture problem of why anyone had to make up a story at all."

Erika Koike has not discussed the annulment publicly.

She also told the podcast Two Ts in a Pod, "It was such a whirlwind, and from start to finish with him was only three months, which was just stupid of me to marry him, but I did. It doesn't feel like a marriage, it feels like a three-month dating relationship that was an abrupt start and an abrupt end."

Cuffe hasn't publicly spoken about the annulment.
