News Corp ended FY2026 on a high note, with shares gaining 1.3% on Aug. 5 after the company delivered a strong Q4 that showcased momentum across its key businesses. Revenue climbed 10.8% year over year to $2.34 billion, while Total Segment EBITDA surged 31.4% to $423 million. Adjusted EPS jumped an impressive 84.2% to $0.35 from $0.19 a year earlier, highlighting the company's improving profitability.

Dow Jones continued to anchor the business, with revenue rising 6.6% year over year to $644 million, supported by resilient demand for its news and professional information products. Digital Real Estate Services delivered an even stronger performance, with revenue surging 18.7% to $553 million as its property platforms benefited from stronger activity and demand. Book Publishing rounded out the quarter on a high note, with revenue jumping 14.6% to $566 million, fueled by robust physical and digital book sales, particularly across General Books, the U.K. and Children's Publishing.

For the current year, which ends in June 2027, analysts expect NWSA's EPS to rise 11% to $1.31 on a diluted basis. The company's earnings surprise history is solid. It surpassed the consensus estimate in each of the last four quarters.

Wall Street remains firmly bullish on News Corp, with seven of the eight analysts covering NWSA rating it a "Strong Buy" and just one recommending a "Hold."

However, the enthusiasm has cooled slightly from a month ago, when all nine analysts had a "Strong Buy" rating.

On Aug. 6, Morgan Stanley raised its price target on News Corp to $35 from $34 while maintaining an "Overweight" rating. The firm updated its estimates after News Corp's FY2026 results came in modestly ahead of expectations, with the stronger-than-anticipated performance supporting a slightly more bullish outlook for the company.

NWSA's mean price target of $36.19 indicates a premium of 27% from the current market price. Its Street-high target of $43 suggests a robust 50.9% upside potential from current price levels.
