Happy “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” weekend to all who celebrate!

As a Senior Talent Booker and Producer at BuzzFeed, you can typically catch me flailing about the buzziest TV shows and movies.

Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man movie is finally here, and I can assure you it’s likely going to be one of the biggest movies of the year. Picking up following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, four years have passed after Peter Parker (Tom Holland) voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of everyone, including those he loves. He's back to crime-fighting in NYC, in a city that no longer knows his name or that he's devoted himself to protecting everyone. While being a full-time Spider-Man has its perks, the demands on him begin to intensify. The pressure Peter is putting on himself sparks a surprising physical transformation that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes might reveal the most powerful threat he's ever faced. 

Jon Bernthal and Sadie Sink also join the returning cast for this movie with two standout performances. Bernthal brings his brute, Punisher humor to this Spidey movie, while Sink proves why she’s one of the most talented young actors right now because the range of emotions she’s able to channel as [spoiler] is astounding. Personally, Spider-Man: No Way Home is my favorite of Holland’s Spider-Man movies, but this one is super solid. A lot of us have literally grown up with Holland, so getting a more mature Spider-Man movie with this one feels so appropriate.

This is easily one of my favorite shows of all time, and a show that I cannot believe was canceled so soon. And now, it’s back to streaming on Netflix. Originally airing from 2013 to 2015, Hannibal follows FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), who gets recruited by Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne), the head of Behavioral Sciences of the FBI, to help investigate a serial killer in Minnesota. As the investigation weighs heavily on Graham, Crawford decides to have him supervised by forensic psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen). 

Of course, for anyone with knowledge of The Silence of the Lambs, you know that Lecter is secretly a serial killer and a cannibal. As he works to manipulate the FBI from within, a fascinating and empathetic bond grows between Lecter and Graham. Mikkelsen and Dancy’s chemistry is some of the very best on TV. Like, ever. It also has an episode in Season 2 that many people consider perfect. Basically, if you’re in line for Hannibal to be renewed, stay in line!

Your Friends & Neighbors recently wrapped Season 2, and just scored an Emmy nom for Outstanding Drama Series, so it only feels right to give this show a shoutout. After being fired in disgrace, Andrew "Coop" Cooper (Jon Hamm), a hedge fund manager, is left to grapple with his recent divorce and everything that has happened that caused his life to fall apart. He looks around at the affluent area he lives in and comes up with a plan: Start stealing expensive things from them that they’ll never notice are gone. 

While he leads this secret life at night, Coop also begins to discover that his friends have many secrets and affairs, some of which could be dangerous if revealed. Hamm leads an all-star ensemble, who are all incredible in this show, including Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, and more. Apple TV has some of the best shows airing right now, and this one can be added to that already stacked (and long) list. I cannot recommend this one enough.
