White House Says Anyone Suggesting Trump Fell Asleep At Lindsey Graham's Funeral Is A 'Depraved Moron'

If you saw Donald Trump appearing to fall asleep during Lindsey Graham’s funeral on Tuesday, the White House has a special message for you: You’re a “depraved moron.” Although the president eulogized the South Carolina senator as “a force to be reckoned with,” he also appeared to wrestle with his own body clock after his speech. Numerous images and videos appeared to show Trump giving a “40-wink salute” to the senator, such as this: Trump appears to be completely passed out asleep at Lindsey Graham's funeral pic.twitter.com/JIoVTLUDwo And this one here: Trump, face drooping heavily, is struggling to stay awake at Lindsey Graham's memorial service pic.twitter.com/E0SzRm87s2 There’s also this ... But while it looked like Trump was snoozing, White House spokesman Davis Ingle insisted to HuffPost that was not the case at all — and he had harsh words for anyone who might think otherwise. “President Trump was reflecting on the loss of his dear friend Lindsey Graham, for whom he had just delivered a beautiful eulogy,” Ingle told HuffPost. “Anyone suggesting otherwise is a depraved moron.” Although Trump might appreciate Ingle’s impassioned insult, it ignores the ever-increasing list of incidents where the president appeared to nod off when he was supposed to be working. Last month, he appeared to fall asleep during an Oval Office event meant to promote the unconstitutional notion that church and state shouldn’t be separate. A few weeks earlier, Trump was seen opening and closing his eyes abruptly during a briefing with Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin. In May, Trump seemed to fall asleep during an Oval Office event on maternal health, but the White House dubiously suggested he was actually “blinking.” In February, he seemed to snooze during the first meeting of the so-called Board of Peace in Washington, D.C.
