If all the milk in Wisconsin curdled after this, we wouldn’t be surprised.

Vice President JD Vance appeared in Milwaukee last week to deliver a speech promoting the Trump administration’s crackdown on benefit fraud — and tried and failed miserably to make a joke.

Vance set up the quip by calling Wisconsin “one of the most beautiful states in the union, especially this time of year.”

“I love Wisconsin,” he said before attempting to do a Northern Midwest accent. “Or as you guys say, ‘Wis-cawntin.’ ‘Wis-cawnsin!’”

Vance’s impression was so bad that it truly needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.

The onstage fumble was so pathetic that critics on X couldn’t help but roast Vance.

please unmute this. it's so much worse than the text could ever convey. https://t.co/ZXi3a2ZJXA

If Vance were a spice, he’d be flour

He has the personally of unseasoned, boiled chicken

Why is this always him? pic.twitter.com/ShB6rNHBcC

its like an intern wrote the joke for him but didnt write it phonetically so he just said it wrong. https://t.co/2YVYOafhok

Its so funny that he realizes he screwed up the Wisconsin accent the first time, takes another Crack at it, and then says it the exact same way

He and Elon Musk are competing for the top spot of least charismatic person in the history of our species

This was not Vance’s only hiccup during this particular speech. Several minutes in, he flipped over a large poster that had been sitting onstage — revealing what was apparently a photo of a Wisconsin woman who was convicted of healthcare fraud; however, the venue’s lighting appeared to obscure the image.

Vance proceeded to talk and reference the image even though it was glared out by lights the entire time.
