Bigfoot hunter says proving corpse’s authenticity has been an uphill battle

(NewsNation) — A man who claims to have found the remains of a Bigfoot in Upstate New York says he now has scientific proof that it's real. In 2024, Charles Stuart, aka "Snake the Bigfoot Hunter," claims he found the decomposing remains of an eight-foot-tall, 300-pound Bigfoot in Adirondack Park in Upstate New York. "I could smell it because this body was decaying," Snake told NewsNation's Jesse Weber on Thursday. "This thing was sitting in a poison ivy patch and just was absolutely disgusting." Woman says she went to heaven while dead Snake believed the body had been there for about two days, based on the degree of decay. Of course, he wanted the world to know about it, so he brought it home and has been showing it off for the last couple of years. While skeptics doubt his story and don't believe the remains are real, he says recent DNA testing has proven that they are. Snake claims he provided blood, hair, and fecal matter to a friend who works at the Cornell Veterinary and Bio DNA Lab to run tests on the creature he named "Dack." The tests revealed Dack to be "58.5% Neanderthal … mixed with 41.5% human, and some of that's indigenous," Snake said. Suspected space debris found on Australian beaches Snake also told Weber that he had discovered a lot by looking over the body. "One of the interesting things we found on our specimen … was this reproductive bone," Snake said. "That's an anomaly that the Bigfoot has that is also in polar bears. And these are adaptations that allow it to procreate in an aggressive way. And that leads us to think that they don't actually form family units. They're very nomadic. If they do engage, just for that aggressive procreation, and then they go their separate ways." Not only does Snake have the creature out on display back home in New York for the public, but he's also trying to get researchers to come and take a look. NASA has turned a corner on UAPs, ex-official insists: 'We cannot afford to fall behind' "I did get a documentary team to come, and peer-reviewed the DNA," he said. "And this is a documentary team from Japan. And they filmed a little movie on this, and they have released it there." While he's obviously open to getting more researchers to look over Dack, it hasn't been easy. "It's been an uphill battle. …Bigfoot has been considered kind of taboo and stuff." As for all the naysayers out there, Snake has a special term for them. "I just say that the people who do not believe in Bigfoot have something I call BDS, which is 'Bigfoot Derangement Syndrome.'"
