Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: $BTDR) has broken ground on a $36 million advanced electronics manufacturing facility in Sparks, Nevada, adding its first U.S. production and assembly site for proprietary mining hardware.

The 187,000-square-foot plant is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026 and is expected to produce 10,000 SEALMINER units each month. Bitdeer said the investment covers the facility, equipment and construction, while creating 70 jobs across engineering, skilled technician and support roles.

The Nevada site adds another layer to Bitdeer's vertically integrated crypto mining model. The company already develops its own SEALMINER hardware, operates data centers across several countries and manages mining infrastructure from equipment procurement through daily operations. Bringing assembly closer to U.S. customers could shorten parts of that chain while giving Bitdeer more control over hardware supply.

Paul Hanson, chairman of Bitdeer Industrial, said the facility is designed to strengthen supply-chain resilience and improve responsiveness to domestic customers. He added that producing SEALMINER units in Nevada reflects a longer-term commitment to expanding capacity for the company's U.S. digital infrastructure operations.

Sparks will complement Bitdeer's existing U.S. data centers and its innovation hub in San Jose, California. Catherine Guo, CEO of Bitdeer Industrial, pointed to Nevada's workforce, logistics network and business environment as reasons for establishing the manufacturing base in the state.

Bitdeer has been expanding beyond pure bitcoin production as its AI Cloud and data center businesses become a larger part of the company's investor story. Still, proprietary mining hardware remains central to its operating model, with SEALMINER development giving the company direct exposure to the machines that power its self-mining fleet.

The new plant puts that strategy on U.S. soil. By the end of 2026, Bitdeer expects Sparks to be producing mining hardware at a scale of up to 120,000 units annually.

The Sparks site comes as Bitdeer continues to build a broader business around bitcoin mining and AI infrastructure. In May, the company produced 921 bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) and operated 70.2 EH/s of self-mining hashrate, while its AI Cloud annualized run-rate revenue remained near $69 million.

Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: BTDR) is currently trading at $13.25 U.S. per share.
