Erling Haaland might be best known for breaking scoring records on the pitch, but it turns out he’s also got quite the reputation in a very different league: luxury handbags. In fact, the Manchester City striker has now been dubbed the internet’s “Hermès baddie” after a viral TikTok broke down his seriously enviable Birkin collection. The video, posted by Jack Savoie (@jack.savoie), has racked up over 4 million views in the process, with fans left speechless as they clock just how deep Haaland’s taste for Hermès really runs. First up: the ‘Endless Road’ HAC size 50, a structured statement piece priced at a jaw-dropping $45,500 (£34,400). Then comes a sold-out black and orange checked Birkin 40, reportedly worth around $33,000 (£24,900), followed by a Toile HAC canvas Birkin 40 with leather trim, reselling for roughly $37,000 (£27,900). ERLING HAALAND’S BIRKIN COLLECTION! #worldcup #erlinghaaland #soccer #hermesbirkin #hermes @Erling Haaland For someone reportedly earning around $660,000 (£500,000) a week, one or two Birkins clearly isn’t enough. Haaland has also been spotted with the Cargo Toile Birkin 40, complete with leather patchwork and utility pockets, currently listed at around $50,000 (£37,800). Things then step up again with a black Togo leather Birkin 50, priced at approximately $56,800 (£42,900), before a viral airport snap shows Haaland carrying what fans estimate to be a Rock Black HAC worth $68,000 (£51,000). But the detail that really sent the internet spiralling? What appears to be a Birkin inside a Birkin, as pointed out by Jack – a smaller size 25 Box Birkin, valued at around $32,000 (£24,200), casually resting inside the larger edition. Inevitably, it didn’t take long for fellow TikTokers to chime in on the action, with one writing: “My apologies Haaland, I was not familiar with your game.” Another humoured they were “too poor” to even process the viral clip, initially mistaking the luxury Birkin lineup for Birkenstocks. And perhaps, speaking on behalf of the internet: “Didn’t know he was a Hermès baddie.”
