Read More Dear wasps, moths, and every critter in between, I’m going to exterminate you now. Yours truly, the electric bug swatter. Promising review: "I was very skeptical of this product but decided to give it a try after reading the reviews and knowing if it didn't work I could return it. Let me preface this review by saying I live a few miles from a swamp in south Louisiana. "I know it says wait 15 minutes to give it time to work, but I wanted to make sure mosquitoes were swarming to test it effectively. So I camped out in my favorite chair and was immediately swarmed by mosquitoes. I started the unit, and in about 15 minutes there wasn't a mosquito near me! No exaggeration. I am sitting outside as night is falling in south Louisiana and not one mosquito is buzzing me. I have been out here just over an hour and I have only two bites – one bite was from when I first sat down and before the unit was on 15 minutes. I am seriously impressed with this product and I am ordering more for gifts and to expand my own coverage as soon as I am done with this review. And there is no stinky citronella smell. There is no odor at all. Amazing." —NolaMom Get it from Amazon for $21.49+ (available in five colors and in two-packs). Promising review: "I went to The Philippines and brought this with me to Palawan. The mosquitoes are brutal there! I got one single bug bite the whole trip. Safe to say it works amazingly. Worth it to avoid the bugs!!!" —Liz It has a range of around 2,100 square feet. It's also waterproof and won't harm people or pets! Promising review: "Works very well. Effectively cleared all bugs from the patio even on the buggiest of nights. Highly recommended. I actually bought a second one to cover another area. Has been left plugged in for more than six months without a bulb failure." —CaptnWalker Promising review: "We bought this for a rather large umbrella over our table in the backyard and used it for the first time last night. We were less concerned about mosquitoes because we have a service to eliminate them — it's the bees that were disturbing our outdoor meals and events. My wife hosted a few friends last night, and they all fell in love with this. They've all been fighting with bees lately, and they were not bothered once by any bugs. Every friend bought the netting on the spot – you're welcome to the company that manufactures this product. Also, when you're inside the netting sitting on chairs, it's almost as if the netting is invisible; most of the time, you can't tell whether it's even there, especially at night." —Sara Olshanky Unlike other screen doors that only have small strips every so often, this magnetic screen door has magnets that run along the entire length of the screen, and the Velcro-like strip to attach it to the door frame is also full frame. Promising review: "Screen was super easy to install. The area around our doors are wood so I used the included push pins to apply it instead of the adhesion strip and it worked perfectly. Our dog has already figured out how to go in and the magnets close it behind him. So excited to be able to leave my doors open this summer without bugs!" —Alexa B. Get it from Amazon for $29.99+ (available in eight sizes). It's best to use this overnight because the bugs will be attracted to the brightness of the UV light. Promising review: "I bought this hoping it would help with a few annoying flying bugs. What I didn’t realize was that it would become a full-time bug management professional. The plug-in light attracts insects like it’s giving away free snacks, and the sticky trap does the rest. Within a couple of days, I started seeing results and wondering where all the bugs had gone. Then I checked the trap and realized they’d all RSVP’d to the same unfortunate event. It’s quiet, easy to use, and doesn’t involve sprays, odors, or me running through the house waving my arms around. Highly recommend!" —Kristen S Get one device and one cartridge from Amazon for $17.97 (also available in a three-cartridge set). Promising review: "As someone who values practical and efficient solutions, I find that this bug swatter has exceeded my expectations. Its size and length are perfect, making it easy to handle and store. The controls are intuitive, and the device is ready to go with just a press of a button. I appreciate how lightweight and portable it is, allowing me to move from room to room or even step outside for quick pest control. The satisfaction of hearing that zap and knowing the insect is gone is quite rewarding. Overall, this zapper has significantly improved my indoor comfort, reducing the nuisance of flying insects. If you're looking for a reliable and user-friendly bug zapper, this one is definitely worth considering. And you get two for the price of one, lol." —Allen Chen Get a set of two from Amazon for $25.99+ (available in three sizes and three colors). Promising review: "I am literally never buying another brand of ant traps again in my life. I've been trying to get rid of the ants in my room for over three years at this point and no other traps have worked. I used these once like two months ago and haven't seen an ant since. So easy to use and super effective." —Layla Martinez Get a 12-pack from Amazon for $9.89 (also available in an 18-pack). You'll get four tubes, tips, and plungers. Promising review: "We made the mistake of accepting used furniture without a thorough cleaning, and when we arrived back home from being out of state, we learned how bad that mistake was. We have used Bengal, Raid, Ortho, Adams, and generic stuff to no avail. I ordered and received this yesterday, and used one and a half tubes all over the house last night. It's been less than 24 hours, and I have already had to clean my floors three times because of the death rate. Thank the gods for this potent magic in a tiny little tube!!" —TexasHeathen Get it from Amazon for $24.77 (also available in a two-pack). My Critter Catcher is a small biz that specializes in easy and non-toxic ways to rid your home of pests. Promising review: "I’ve been scared of every kind of bug and spider all my life. No matter what age I was, someone was getting a call to come remove a bug because I couldn’t do it myself. I recently bought a house and have had a rough time with stink bugs, which have become my new biggest fear. It was becoming so unbearable, I figured my only option at this point would be hypnotherapy. Luckily enough, a friend of mine recommended this to me as a joke, but I bought it because I would try anything at this point. This morning, a stink bug decided to barge into my living room, and instead of taking me 12 minutes and a phone call, I was able to grab the stink bug within 12 seconds. This thing is amazing, and I am going to be ordering two more for backups!" —Jessica Garlesky Get it from Amazon for $19.95+ (available in two colors). Promising review: "If you're seriously grossed out and terrified by bugs, here at last is the secret weapon you NEED. You cock it, hold the business end near the bug, and push the red button. Voila, the bug is sucked into a plastic chamber in a microsecond, out of your life for all practical purposes. The bug isn't even injured, just confined, so if you're feeling tenderhearted, you can take it outdoors and release it. The bug cannot escape, even if you use the BugZooka again immediately. The second bug and subsequent bugs just join the first one, safe and secure. The BugZooka is about 2 feet long, so you don't even have to get close to your insect victim." —Calli It repels ants, roaches, spiders, flies, fleas, ticks, wasps, scorpions, mosquitoes, fruit flies, silverfish, moths, gnats, carpet beetles, earwigs, palmetto bugs, and waterbugs. Promising review: "We never had problems with ticks or fleas while living in the city, but six months ago we moved to the country. Our two dogs (Doberman and small pitbull mix) run around outside and sometimes in the woods on our property. We started finding ticks on them. The vet recommended $50+ collars 'that most other owners buy for their dogs.' We scoffed at the expense for two dogs. I had remembered seeing this product on Shark Tank and had saved it on my lists here. Started using it on our dogs three months ago, Doberman has had not one tick and the pitbull had one, on the back of his ear, which we found super quick. This has been a great natural product to use out here. And there are tons of ticks. I think I'm going to start using it for myself per reading other reviews." —KitKat Get it from Amazon for $26.99+ (available in three sizes and in four scents). Promising review: "Easy to use and an affordable way for temporary fix to screens. With the economy, replacing all our damaged screens is not an option. Now we can get a breeze without the worry of bugs." —Dani Wright Get it from Amazon for $8.79+ (available in three lengths and two colors). Just fill it up with granulated salt as ammo! Promising review: "Ok I bought this as a kind of joke gift to myself but now I genuinely cannot imagine summer without it. Flies do not stand a chance and chasing them around is so much more satisfying than using a plain old swatter. My roommates thought I was being dumb for spending the money until they started asking to borrow it every single day." —Marc Get it from Amazon for $49.95 (available in six colors). Cliganic is a small business that specializes in all-natural personal care products. Check out a TikTok of the mosquito-repelling bracelets in action. Promising review: "No complaints just satisfied. It worked. We were surprised that such a small bracelet could keep us bug free but it did." —M. A. Cooper Get a 10-pack from Amazon for $9.99 (also available in other pack sizes). Reviewers note that these work best if you put them somewhere the flies are already attracted to — these will definitely trap them, but they won't attract them on their own. Promising review: "I had a HUGE fruit fly issue after I found a rotting lemon that had called behind a bread box. I paid $20+ for the liquid fly traps, but nothing worked. I ordered these sticky fly traps, and within two days, the sticky traps caught 50+ fruit flies, and I don’t have any more fruit flies. These were the least expensive options I tried and worked the best. I HIGHLY recommend!!!" —Lisa Get a pack of 36 from Amazon for $7.99 (available in many shapes and packs). Promising review: "I ordered this product because every spring and summer, we have problems with flies and maggots in the garbage can. The device has been on my garbage can lid for a few days now. It survived the weekly trash pickup. As for whether or not this device works, let me tell you: NO FLIES, NO MAGGOTS!!! This product works well. Just be careful when applying the adhesive strip." —MRS. PATRICIA A NELSON Get it from Amazon for $10.97+ (also available in a two-pack). The net isn't removable but if you choose not to use it, you can flip it to the underside while in use. Promising review: "We recently took two of these camping and they worked well. Hammock sleeping takes some getting used to. They are initially comfy but, depending on how you set it up, your legs can end up high which caused me to wake up a few times to adjust my sleeping position. The mosquito netting is a great add. Be careful getting into the hammock as one of the lines we used to hold up the netting was caught in our hand and snapped when the full weight of your body was applied. It's not really a product flaw, you just have to make sure you are only putting your weight on the sleeping surface and not the netting when getting in. Common sense really, just something to watch for." —Tony Get it from Amazon for $29.99+ (available in two sizes and in 10 color combos). Seed Geeks is a small business based in Missouri that sells heirloom seeds and handmade skincare products. Promising review: "I love the design embossed on the bar! It smells so good too! As someone who constantly gets bitten if I’m not wearing bug spray, I was excited to try out this more natural alternative. I’ve only tried it once so far, but it seemed to work really well! I highly recommend this!!" —Kelsey Get it from Seed Geeks on Etsy for $6.95 (originally $12.98). When I was a kid, someone told me that mosquitoes love me because I'm so sweet. And I FULLY believe that as an adult because I still get eaten alive if I'm out for long periods of time without wearing some kind of repellent. I've used these wipes on several park days here in NYC (sitting on a picnic blanket drinking wine with friends is more or less screaming COME GET ME to skeeters). But I've really found success with them on a recent hot weekend trip to Savannah, Georgia. I don't notice any smell when using them and have found one wipe to have enough repellent for my arms and legs. So basically, a one and done. I don't think that I've gotten *any* bug bites on days I've used these wipes. Plus, I have extremely sensitive skin but haven't had any irritation from these seemingly powerful wipes! Promising review: "Used these every day on our Japan and Korea trip. I only got one bite in three weeks. I carried them in my day bag for every outing and it was easy to reapply when we were out sightseeing 15 hours a day. Almost no scent and even that disappeared quickly. Felt just a little greasy when first applying but that dried out really quick too. So was well worth the trade off of not getting bit up. I’m usually mosquito dessert but not this trip!!! There were plenty in my order and even though I used a lot I have left overs to get me thru my gardening adventures this summer. Recommend." —Karen Dee Get three packs of 12 wipes from Amazon for $31.47. You won't have to worry about fruit flies attacking you ever again. Promising review: "Our home was infested with fruit flies. As a household of minimal fresh produce and a mostly nitrate rich menu, we were confused and horrified when these tiny, evil monsters took over our house. These apple jobs are LEGIT. Within an hour or less they had captured a good amount of flies. I just bought more." —MotherofChaos Get a four-pack from Amazon for $14.87 (also available in a six-pack). Promising review: "This is very useful for closing up small holes. We had lots of water bugs and they basically stopped after we used the foam." —A You can learn more about BTI, the bacteria in mosquito dunks, at the CDC. Promising review: "Mosquitoes where I live are fierce! For the first time in years, I have been able to enjoy hanging out in my beautiful backyard, which is full of trees and flowers. Why? Because I put out six containers of water with one mosquito dunk disk each. There are no more mosquitoes! This product is a miracle. The dunks are extremely simple to use and cost hardly anything. They last a month. Completely efficient. I will use this for the rest of my life. Thank you to whoever figured this out!" —Alberta Get a six-pack from Amazon for $8.58 (also available in a two- and 100-pack). In addition to mosquitos, you can also use it to treat bites and stings from bees, wasps, biting flies, no-see-ums, chiggers, and sea lice. Promising review: "I ordered the Bug Bite Thing in December after watching the Shark Tank episode. I live in the Northeastern US and have not had to use it until the spring weather arrived. No matter what I do, bugs find me, and to compound it, I usually have an allergic reaction. I have tried numerous anti-itch creams and natural remedies through the years, which treat symptoms but not the root cause. I ordered the Bug Bite Thing with skepticism but am very pleasantly surprised. I had a number of bug bites that I tried this on and the itching and swelling dissipated immediately! It works and without chemicals. I highly recommend!" —HappyDaisy547 Get it from Amazon for $9.97+ (available in six colors). Promising review: "I have problems with my fingertips cracking, especially in dry weather. Nothing seemed to help and it can be painful and frustrating. I purchased these and some cohesive wrap bandage and I am happy to say I have finally found the solution! They feel cool and spongy on a sore fingertip, providing a lot of relief. I used one yesterday, then put on another to sleep in and when I woke up my finger felt so much better and was almost healed. They do not stick well on their own on a fingertip but that is not an issue for me, I just use the bandage. They might stick better on a flat area but if not, just cover it with a bandage. I will never be without these." —KB Get 200 pads from Amazon for $28.99 (also available in a 50-pad jar and a paraben-free version).
