The author has a way of creating subtext within the story that makes the reader feel as though they are eavesdropping on someone’s life. It seems that the reader, and Jasmine for that matter, is missing a very important puzzle piece that would make us shout “HOLY SH**,” but there were plenty of OMG moments."
