Woman allegedly kidnapped by fake cop in South Carolina, suspect charged In a statement, the Muscatine Police Department said they responded to a call about a shooting at a home in Muscatine, Iowa, a city 50 miles southeast of Cedar Rapids. When they arrived, they found four men that were shot and killed. Police then found the accused suspect, 52-year-old Ryan Willis McFarland, on a trail where he later took his own life after talking to officers, Kies said. During the early stages of the investigation, police learned there were other victims, and found one man dead from a gunshot wound in another residence in the city, and another man was found dead in a business nearby. Kies said all the victims are believed to be the family members of the suspect and the shooting stems from a domestic dispute. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. “Please understand that during these trying times, our community is mourning with the family and friends of the McFarland family, the Whitlow family and the Harris family,” Kies said.
