The Colorado Republican Party is dead broke, paralyzed by intraparty fighting, and in a wild moment, recently hid from itself under a bridge.

With that as your backdrop, meet Victor Marx, the front-runner in the Republican primary to be Colorado’s next governor.

The self-described “high-risk missionary” recently sat for an interview with 9News’ Kyle Clark where, among other things, he:

Clark shared a handful of clips from the wild conversation on social media Thursday, and they quickly went viral.

They also prompted a response from current Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D). “I have killed zero people, and you can take that to the bank,” he quipped.

Colorado’s last Republican gubernatorial candidate, Heidi Ganahl, claimed without evidence that children in Colorado schools were self-identifying as cats and going to the bathroom in litter boxes.

Ganahl’s lie masked a far sadder truth: Some schools in Colorado now stock classrooms with cat litter in case students can’t hold their bladder while they’re locked inside during a school shooting.
