Stephen Miller, a White House deputy chief of staff for policy, drew disbelief on Wednesday over two words he used to describe what Donald Trump is building in America.

Those words: “extraordinary paradise.”

Miller, an architect of the president’s hard-line immigration agenda, made the bombastic claim during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show.

“The American people understand the hell that we inherited” from former President Joe Biden “and the extraordinary paradise that President Trump is building,” Miller claimed.

Trump, whose approval numbers are currently tanking, has led “with competence, courage and clarity and the American people will reward that come November” in the 2026 midterm elections, Miller added.

The comments quickly drew ire online, with critics taking particular issue with the use of the words “extraordinary paradise” to describe the current state of the country.
