A woman who died after being shot outside a bar in Sheffield city centre was an innocent bystander, police said. The 30-year-old was found with serious injuries outside One Four One on West Street at about 02:45 BST on Monday and later died in hospital. Ch Supt Jamie Henderson, of South Yorkshire Police, said the victim, from Sheffield, was on a night out to celebrate the bank holiday and the force was "working around the clock" to ensure everyone involved was identified. Three people were arrested in connection with the incident. A 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were held near Stockport, Greater Manchester, and a 30-year-old man was arrested in Sheffield. They remain in custody. While the woman is yet to be named by police, her family have been informed. Henderson said: "An innocent woman who should have been able to safely enjoy her night out here in Sheffield has been killed and her loved ones have been left to face a heartbreaking reality that they will never see her again. "Gun crime devastates." Woodhouse and District Community Forum want to create a theatre and social space in the church.
