Bailey is a big fan of several dog products and is excited to share them with you below! My dog LOVES his treats, and I honestly could devote an entire roundup to just foods he enjoys eating (but I'll save that for another day). If my dog had a ranking of his favorite treats, these would most likely be at the top of the list. He has a sensitive tummy, so we really try to save these for "special" occasions, but then again, look at how cute my dog is — every occasion is special with that adorable face. Anyway, a special occasion to us is defined as post bath, when we have guests over for a holiday, his birthday, etc. Bailey literally knows now which shelf of the pantry these are kept on because as soon as he sees/hears me taking them out, he starts jumping and running around like his life depends on this bone. The best part is that after I give it to him, he runs off to another room in the house so he can enjoy some alone time with his bone, like it's a sacred ritual. It's both hilarious and so stinking cute. If you want to witness pure puppy joy, I highly recommend these treats. Get a pack of 12 from Amazon for $5.35 (also available in four other flavors and various quantities). I was lucky to get this dog bed sent to me in 2021 for sampling, and it's still going strong all these years later. While my dog doesn't sleep here at night (he sleeps in a HUMAN bed), he loves this bed for naps during the day!!! On the left, you can see he's just chilling in the bed, and on the right, he's dozing off. While I can't ask my dog directly if he finds this comfortable, the amount of time he spends in this bed means it is Bailey approved!! Get it from Chewy for $49.99+ (available in four sizes and two colors). Back in 2020, my family made a wonderful decision to get an adorable Havanese puppy named Bailey (pictured left as a puppy in 2020, pictured right in December 2023). He slept like an absolute angel the first night we brought him home, so when he kept us up for six. whole. hours the night after, and wouldn't stop crying the next day, we knew we needed to try something fast. A family friend recommended the Snuggle Puppy. Within a half hour of putting the little heart ticker into the stuffed toy and putting it in Bailey's crate, he was quiet and fast asleep while cuddling up to his new toy. Almost six years later, the Snuggle Puppy is still Bailey's favorite toy — we just don't keep the heart ticker in there anymore. He has an entire crate of toys he BARELY touches solely because he loves the Snuggle Puppy so much. It is on the pricey side for a dog toy, and he's currently on his fourth Snuggle Puppy because he's chewed off the ears and noses on the other ones, but seeing how attached he is to the puppy and how happy it makes him, it's 100% worth it. Truly cannot recommend this enough. Get it from Amazon for $39.95+ (available in 13 styles). Winter has come to an end where I am here on the East Coast, but this is the third winter we've had this coat for Bailey, and it's still holding up as good as new! My dog goes through phases during the winter where he hates snow initially and then loves it. For both of these circumstances, this coat is super helpful. It keeps him warm and dry, and he just looks so freaking ADORABLE in it!!! Also, I know he actually likes it, because I have tried dressing my dog in sweaters/other coats in the past and he always tries to wriggle (or bite) them off his body, but he's never done that with this coat, which is huge for him!!! Get it from Amazon for $29.05+ (available in sizes XS–3XL and three colors). My dog is very particular about the toys he likes to play with. He's been attached to his Snuggle Puppy since he was a puppy, he enjoys tennis balls, and he LOVES socks (not a toy, but he thinks they are); every other adorable dog toy we have bought for him just sits in his toy crate feeling more abandoned than Andy's toys did when he donated them in Toy Story 3 (or so I imagine). My dog is very food motivated, so I was excited for him to try out this toy, and he is a huge fan!!! I'll put a few of his Zuke's mini dog treats (next up on the list) into the toy, and he'll get to work biting and trying to flip the toy over with his paws to get to the treats. He looks so proud of himself once he gets them. It's the cutest thing. Get it from Fable for $19 (originally $29; available in eight colors). These treats were recommended to us when we first got Bailey in 2020, and six years later, we STILL give him these treats because he loves them so much. He is very motivated by these treats (funny enough, he might be more motivated by them as an adult dog than he was as a puppy). If I have one of these in my hand, I can get my dog to sit, give me his paw, lie down, jump up, or even sit still for a photo (if I'm quick enough, at least). We keep them in a dog-themed-looking cookie jar so whenever he hears the lid open, he comes RUNNING over for them. We still reward him after walks/potty breaks/just for being a good boy, and he eats 'em up every time. Get them from Amazon for $5.94+ (available in three sizes and a two-pack). When I tell you my dog has run from harnesses we've tried in the past. This was the first harness we got for him as a puppy, and once he outgrew that first harness, we tried out different brands/styles. He HATED every other brand/style, even ones that had amazing ratings. Once we got this harness in a larger size for him, he stopped running. In fact, when we walk over to him with this harness, he actually stays still and sometimes even steps into it himself if we put it on the floor in front of him. It has a simple adhesive closure, which is a lot nicer than having to wrestle with buckles and zippers, or whatnot. Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in sizes XXXS–XL and over 20 colors). As I mentioned, my dog is very picky when it comes to the toys he plays with, and his toy basket remains untouched most days. Last year, I got a PR box sent to me that included a small tennis ball, and Bailey kept trying to take the ball. I let him have it, and he LOVED IT. Since then, we have gotten him several small tennis balls to play with as they've quickly become one of his favorite toys. Not only does he love playing fetch with them, but he also entertains himself with them. He also likes chewing on them (which is why we go through them so often), but the size is small enough that he can fit it in his mouth (just big enough that he won't choke on it), and he gets so excited when he hears the squeak!!! Get them from Target: a pack of five for $5.99 (size XS) or a pack of four for $7.99 (size S). My dog, who is sensitive to a LOT of things, has never had any sort of negative reaction to this shampoo/conditioner, and we've been using it on him since he was a puppy. I think he likes it too because he actually enjoys bath time (which seems like a rarity in and of itself). Maybe this is more of a product that I like rather than Bailey liking, but hey, if it's gentle on his skin, I have to imagine he approves of it! Get it from Amazon for $13.99+ (available in 12 scents). Bailey is, in fact, a scarf-down-his-food-as-fast-as-he-can kinda dog. He LOVES eating, and people food, and he's lucky enough to be on the receiving end of scrambled eggs at breakfast time and chicken at dinner time. Unfortunately, because of how fast he eats said human food, he has coughed/choked after eating (and as his owner who is studying to become an SLP, I am hyper-aware of creating safe eating conditions to prevent coughing and choking — for both humans and my pup). This slow feeder is perfect for when I'm giving him people food (he doesn't scarf down dog food quite the same way). This actually helps slow down the rate at which he's eating, and I have noticed a decrease in his coughing/choking after eating!!! Plus, I think the zig-zags in it make eating feel like a game to him, which is just another fun perk! Get it from Amazon for $6.35+ (available in two sizes and eight colors/styles). My dog used to despise getting his teeth brushed. We actually used to use a poultry-flavored toothpaste from a different brand. Given my dog LOVES chicken, this was pretty shocking. We switched to this toothpaste a few years ago and opted for the vanilla mint because selfishly, any other scent sounded gross to us personally. Well, it was a success because we can actually get him to stay still long enough for a brushing. We reward him afterward by letting him lick the leftover toothpaste off the brush (it's safe for pets to swallow), and he LOVES it. And his breath actually smells so good too!!! A win-win!! Get it from Amazon for $11.89+ (available in five flavors). * Durable Pet Products If Your Dog Is A Certified Chewer * I'm A First-Time Dog Mom And These Are My 11 Must-Have Products * Fun Products That’ll Keep Your Dog Entertained Indoors Plus, travel carriers, raincoats, couch covers and finds from Chewy.
