Is algae oil actually worth the purchase, or did TikTok get me again? I cover food trends, from niche ingredients to viral TikTok moments, talking to chefs and experts to see if they’re legit or just great marketing. Monounsaturated fats (olive, avocado, and algae oil) are liquid at room temperature and are generally considered heart-healthy. Polyunsaturated fats (seed oils and fish oils) are also liquid and essential, meaning your body actually needs them to function. Saturated fats (butter, coconut oil, and ghee) are solid at room temp, deeply delicious, and in my opinion, the tastiest. However, in multiple doctors’ opinions, perhaps not the best for your ticker.
