“People like this don’t understand what it’s like to budget their paycheck every two weeks. If you have all this extra cash every paycheck, go to a food bank in your area and give them some of that money. There are people who need help with groceries!” Already my hackles are raised. Girl, WYM "no"???? EXCUSE ME??? I BEG YOUR FINEST PARDON. COME AGAIN?????????? Careless never confirmed the location, but everyone could at least agree that this rich mommy is not a woman of the people, lol. Another Redditor named jb30900 chimed in with their experience, saying, "People like this don't understand what it's like to budget their paycheck every two weeks. I have two coworkers who have this same mindset. They get haircuts every two weeks, they go out for drinks, food, weekend getaways, etc. I told one of them, 'If you have all this extra cash every paycheck, go to a food bank in your area and give them some of that money. There are people who need help with groceries!'" DicksDraggon shared a similar sentiment, saying, "I can't imagine treating my ex that way. My ex-wife and my current wife are good friends. Every time we go to Florida, we stop by to see my ex-wife. When my ex-mother-in-law passed away three years ago, we dropped everything to rush to her side before she passed away." People especially urged Careless to think about her kids in this situation. "Your daughter having access to being friends with richer kids could really solidify her future, as much as I hate to encourage that," meowymcmeowmeow added. "If she manages to make good friends with some of the other kids, those connections could really help her get ahead as she becomes an adult." Note: Responses have been edited for length/clarity.
