At last month’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Julia appeared in an awkward interview clip that people said “perfectly captures the problem with replacing real journalists with influencers.”

“Even the fact that, like, school gets out at 3, but most jobs are done at 5 or 6,” she continued. “All those little things are positioned to just— are not conducive to mothering.”

“this is why we shouldn’t have influencers do interviews at prestigious awards,” echoed someone else. “i love jake and [Quen] but they can’t have a good interview because they just don’t have the knowledge or the skills.”
