After “Sinners” dominated the 2026 award show season, Hailee Steinfeld is celebrating more great news. On Thursday, the “Sinners” star and her husband, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, announced on her Substack newsletter Beau Society that they have welcomed their first child together. “Special delivery ... Our baby girl has arrived!!” the 29-year-old actor wrote. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.” Steinfield and Allen didn’t share the date of birth or the name of their baby girl in the post. Months after they tied the knot in May 2025, the couple announced on social media in December that they were expecting their first baby together in an adorable winter-themed Instagram video. In the clip, the newlyweds posed in the snow while showing off Steinfeld’s baby bump. The pair captured the post, in which the Marvel star sported a sweater that fittingly had the word “mother” written on it, with a simple red heart emoji. Steinfeld gushed about how she’s been preparing to step into motherhood in a February post on her Substack newsletter Beau Society. “Of course, I have all the to-do lists (which you know I love), and I’ve been busy with research and the general life reorganization that happens when you’re about to have a baby,” she wrote. “But the most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I’m having with myself almost every day.” Steinfeld added that she and Allen, who went public with their relationship in spring 2023, were “getting ready to meet someone we already love so much.” “I’ve racked my brain for words to describe that feeling, and I don’t have them yet. Maybe that’s the point. For now, I’m blessed to be settling into the feeling,” she continued. Allen also expressed excitement over becoming a dad, telling NFL on Fox in January that it is “the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life.” “I love being a football player and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, but I’m looking forward to [being a dad],” he added.
