If you get hit in the head hard enough that you get knocked out, you're probably seriously injured — you're not just gonna wake up totally fine. I'm a Senior Staff Writer based in New York City, where I've been covering classic BuzzFeed-style content since 2020. We also used responses from this Reddit thread. "Removing the bullet only works if you also happen to have a metal tray to place the bullet in and hear it loudly clink." "The victim is 90% more likely to survive if the bullet is removed by a beautiful woman who seems petite and fragile but is actually surprisingly tough." "With a complimentary, 'There, that was the last of it.'" "Then you grunt while sitting up, holding your hand over the fresh bandages, before initiating a series of intense physical acts with no apparent side effects from the bullet wound." "That literally happened to a friend of mine. He was drunk and jumped onto a pile of garbage bags on a NYC curb and then got up with a gaping gash (like 5 inches long and very deep to where you could see all the fat) in his back. This was right beside Times Square, and an ambulance was literally parked 100m away. One of the paramedics searched the trash bag to see if he could find what my friend had been stabbed with, but they couldn’t tell. They gave him a tetanus shot and patched him up pretty shoddily at the hospital, and the wound ended up getting infected a few days later, and he had to be hospitalized for IV antibiotics. It also scarred so badly that he ended up getting some sort of plastic surgery revision to it several years later. Would NOT recommend." "As someone involved with motorsports and sadly dealing with fatalities, there is a good chance the car will accelerate more. I had a situation with a diver passing from a sudden heart attack and a few other examples, and the right pedal always gets pushed to the floorboards/firewall." Pee will not stop the stinging. While it's possible that some parts of urine (like ammonia) may help, others (like sodium) may make it worse. Sea water would be better, though it also has salt. You can't bring someone whose heart has flatlined back through a defibrillator — only with CPR and potentially a shot of adrenaline. But even with those measures, it's rare that a heartbeat would resume, and the patient would live. A defibrillator is also basically useless for someone who's gotten in a car accident or any sort of blunt trauma (unless that then caused them to experience cardiac arrest). It's for situations where the heart rhythm has been affected — not when the heart is actually damaged. "When they're all surrounding him and they give enough time to get their asses whooped, rather than just attacking full on, lmao." "The fact that someone thinks you can 'carefully' knock out someone with a hard hit on the head and no risk of them dying is ludicrous. It maintains a sense of morality, when in reality, more than half of them might get a swollen brain and die from it." "In Ocean's Eleven, they stole 160 million. That is 3500 pounds if it is all $100 bills. That is a pallet on a forklift, not a few duffel bags." "It's a tiny thing, but I hate it when somebody orders a drink at a bar or something, they get it and then don't pay. Payment isn't even mentioned. Just started the scene at the bar with them already drinking and save all that superfluous dialogue!" "Like anything, you need to know exactly what it is you’re eating, and if you don't, it can put you in even graver peril. Some cacti make great eating, and yeah, they're full of moisture (though I'd cook them first). A lot of cacti will make you barf. Some cacti will make you barf and then hallucinate. Also, a detail so obvious i didnt think it was worth mentioning: don’t eat any of the pokey bits." "This bugs me about movies, but especially TV. I've been watching this show for a few seasons, and y'all don't do homework or go to class." Submissions have been edited for length/clarity.
