You can make a big impact without a renovation (or even starting to budget for said reno).

Even if the closest you're getting to Ina Garten in the kitchen is sprinkling some garlic powder and red pepper flakes on a frozen pizza, making some slight adjustments will make time spent in your cookspace easier. (Haven't you heard of Marry Me Pizza?) But that doesn't require a renovation. I scoured the pages of Ikea's website to find budget-friendly additions for your kitchen that'll have a practical impact, like a stackable fruit storage container for the stuff you leave out on the counter or an incredibly versatile drop-leaf table that'll squeeze into the smallest of spaces. Yes, there's a magnetic kitchen knife rack in there, but that's just the start!

Promising review: "Great storage solution. Since downsizing to a smaller kitchen, this hanging basket helped provide more space in our new pantry." —Alice

Promising review: "Happy spice rack. The color is fantastic! It's a nice little pop of color in my beige kitchen. It's very useful, not just for spices. I use it to hold my phone on the kitchen counter." —Mei

Some "off-label" uses, according to reviewers, include organizing cutting boards, pan lids, laptops and tablets, planners and journals, notebooks, files, baby board books, sheets of glass, and much more!

Promising review: "The Osbit plate holder is much more than a plate organizer. I used to organize plates in my cabinets so it is easier to retrieve plates because stacking different-sized plates can cause chips. I also use one for pot lids and another one for mail sorting. It is so versatile." —Anonymous

Promising review: "This has been the best situation for organizing my recycling. I no longer have to deal with another bin on the floor." —Dora

Promising review: "I purchased this item as I am a quilter. It is a wonderful item. I find the height to be good for ironing. I use the bamboo topper with a wool iron pad and am able to iron near my sewing machine. Also the storage underneath is good too. I am able to store many extras and keep them near me as I sew." —Mary

Price: $37.98 (available in three colors)

Promising review: "Great for beverage center. This is great for keeping skinny and large cans organized in a beverage center. These can be expanded for soda-type cans; just follow the instructions included to expand them. Will be buying more!" —Braden

Promising review: "I have a small studio apartment, and I’ve been debating whether to get an island for a while, but I’m very glad I did! This island is sturdy but very easy for one person to build. It gives me so much more prep space!" —Debra

Promising review: "Great kitchen island. I live with a small kitchen, the counter space is limited and I do not have a dedicated dining room. This kitchen island solved my problem by combining a great storage solution, and a place where I can eat. I can prepare food and place kitchen appliances on it when needed. It is a perfect addition to my dwelling." —Matthew

Promising review: "I bought two sets. Needing something for potatoes and onions. Along with somewhere to stow my mortar and pestle. At first sight, they look small, but these are perfect. It is a great solution. I'm going to be getting some more for my pantry." —Sheryl

Promising review: "Game changer. Bamboo makes it lightweight, and the cover on the lower level makes it ideal for storing potatoes. I am happy I bought this." —Lucinda

Promising review: "I am delighted. It is sturdy, simple to put together, fits terrifically in my fridge, and has a wonderful pivot system that means it turns 360 degrees with a very small radius! It's clearly well thought out. In a small departure from instructions, I did not evenly space it on the fridge shelf, but placed it to one side, which allowed me to use the shelf space next to it too for other things. If I had another shelf in my fridge, I would buy another one!" —Martha

Price: $34.99 (also check out a traditional lazy Susan for $9.99)

Promising review: "I love this dish rack! It’s small but holds more dishes than you’d expect. It’s well-designed, so it accommodates a lot of shapes." —Elise

Promising review: "Multi-functional container. I have purchased several of these bins. Very useful — coffee, dog treats, pasta. Nicely shaped, easy to hold. Airtight, keeps the contents fresh." —Mary

Promising review: "Good Bowls. holds things well, be it large or small. I use them for baking, leftovers, or just about anything that requires a good bowl. These are good bowls, I would buy again, and I encourage you to buy them too. Very good bowls, thank you, Ikea." —Zenith

Promising review: "Perfect utensil holder. I love the compartments and the option to store knives or just cooking utensils that can sit nicely on the counter, close to the stove." —Kimberly

Promising review: "Perfect for bags. In 20 years, I've only broken one of the two that I have. They are compact, perfect for under the sink or hanging on the wall." —Jena

Promising review: "This has been a game-changer in the functioning of our small kitchen. Great storage, love that I can open the folding top when I need space for kneading bread or prepping meals, and if I really need to reduce the profile of the whole unit, I can lower the tabletop. So much more functional than the tables we've tried over the years, none of which met our needs." —Donna

Promising review: "These work well for organizing drawers, especially if you have a lot of dishes and many places where you like to entertain. Adjustable great product." —Pam

Make sure to measure before adding to cart, becuase drawer and cabinets are not one size fits all.

Promising review: "My Ikea hack! (Feel free to steal this idea.) I purchased a LOSHULT utility cart to hold cleaning supplies, rags, etc. I wanted a way to hang dusters and other small cleaning tools, so I added a KALERUM handle to two opposite sides of the top tier of the cart. (I almost sprained my wrist from patting myself on the back.) I am ridiculously pleased with the handles and the cart." —Paula

Price: $11+ for two (available in two colors and three sizes)

Promising review: "Solid little shelf. I needed a narrow shelf to fit a specific area in my kitchen. I had to purchase two two-shelf versions, but it was easy/intuitive to put them together. I also bought the bamboo shelves, which mitigate the metal look for me. I love that the shelves have adjustable feet to allow you to level out the shelves without pads and shims, etc." —Kimberly

Promising review: "Simple, modern, practical. Easy to attach anywhere, super stable." —Kathrin

Promising review: "Great product. It fits my sink perfectly. It's adjustable. It's pretty. It has a place to dry my Swedish sponge, and the storage is great." —Carolyn
