A former San Fernando Valley teacher looked almost unrecognizable as she appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom March 24, after nearly 17 months behind bars. Colleen Jo Matarico has been accused of raping one of her 13-year-old students in 2025 as well as supplying the boy with marijuana. Matarico is expected to be back in court on April 1. If convicted of all charges, she faces over 20 years in prison.
