Kevin Hart Gets The Wax Figure Treatment And Has... Questions: 'Who In The F**k Is This??????'

Kevin Hart has officially joined the pantheon of celebrities to be honored with a life-size wax figure. And, with the end results bearing little resemblance to the stand-up comedian, he took a page out of his 2011 special “Laugh at My Pain” — inviting fans to do so. Hart shared a video of the sculpture at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, last week for his Instagram followers — one of whom called it “the Temu version” of what fans might expect. Hart, who has never shied away from self-deprecation if it leads to a laugh, was far harsher. “WTTTTFFFFF …. What did I do to these people….,” the actor wrote Saturday in the caption of his post. “This is an attack…. Who in the fuck is this?????? At this point these museums are just trying to make me cry … This shit has to stop…. I demand a redo damn it!!!!!!!” Hart hilariously scored his video with Luciano Michelini’s “Frolic,” which famously plays over the end credits of every “Curb Your Enthusiasm” episode after things go terribly awry. While the waxwork did get his hair, beard and fashion sense right, Hart wasn’t impressed. “I know this ain’t Kevin Hart,” he wrote in an overlaid caption. The figure itself is dressed in a black T-shirt, pants and leather jacket with a gold Cuban link chain, and while it appears impressively lifelike and features a perfect smile, one fan argued in a comment that the sculpture looks more like NFL star Kyler Murray than Hart. “Cook. Him,” Don Cheadle, his “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” co-star, wrote in the comments. Fellow comics couldn’t help but chime in, with HaHa Davis joking he thought “that was me.” Former “View” co-host Star Jones wrote, “This don’t make NO kind of sense!” Renowned wax museum Madame Tussauds, meanwhile, didn’t come to play: “Would never be us.” The sculpture has ultimately landed Hart in rather esteemed company, however, as celebrity wax figures frequently disappoint — and Hart now shares that honor with the likes of Taylor Swift, former first lady Michelle Obama and the late Princess Diana. The museum fortunately did retain Hart’s skin tone, which wasn’t the case for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson when the Musée Grévin in Paris turned the Black and Samoan actor white. Hart’s frequent co-star and real-life friend, Johnson couldn’t help but laugh at the comedian’s pain. “It’s PERFECT,” he commented. “Don’t change a thing.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
