A new Burlington store is set to open in Myrtle Beach this summer, and the company is hiring staff in anticipation.

The department store will debut at 1120 Seaboard St. on May 15. Based in New Jersey, Burlington operates more than 1,200 stores around the country, including three in the Myrtle Beach area.

The Seaboard Commons is one of two new locations planned for South Carolina, with a Summerville store coming on May 1 and another one set to open in the revitalized Coastal Centre strip mall along Church Street in Conway.

Burlington lists 11 employment opportunities for the new location, including four full-time and seven part-time positions.

The Seaboard Commons location will offer apparel, footware, beauty products, home decor and pet items in the company’s “reimagined store design” with wider, more organized aisles.
