The National Weather Service reports a possibility of rain and thunderstorms on Monday. "Winds could gust as high as 40 mph," noted the weather service on its website on Sunday evening. "Chance of precipitation is 90%."

Aiken County public schools are conducting an e-learning day on Monday due to the threat of inclement weather, as noted on its website on Sunday evening.

Columbia County public schools already had planned for a professional learning day on Monday, meaning no school for students.

For public school systems and private schools not mentioned here, parents and guardians should check school websites and social media accounts for updates.
