"I worked with a man who passed away of fatal insomnia. It was horrible for him. 

Near the end he was a living (albeit barely) corpse. The constant doctor's visits, and trying every moment he had free to rest. All the while, he had to keep working until nearly the very end to pay his bills. He was a damn fine human. Miss you, Tom."
