Former KVIA-Channel 7's Paul Cicala has been traveling to his native Tucson and looking into education as a possible career change. "My passion has always been teaching," he said in a video on his Facebook page, while attending a job fair at the Tucson Unified ISD. Cicala commented on the job market, wishing all in similar situations luck in finding their next opportunity. "It's kind of scary that there's so many people that are looking for jobs. I know that teachers are very important in society and unfortunately, as you can see, there's a lot of people looking for these job opportunities. I wish them all the luck," he said. Cicala, who stepped away from TV broadcasting in February, said he would like to teach journalism or broadcast journalism at the high school level. The longtime newsman announced he was leaving broadcasting Feb. 19 due to some recent health issues and concern for his father, who has dementia. He is currently still a resident of El Paso.
