Late-night pursuit ends after tactical vehicle maneuver in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — A law enforcement pursuit ended with a suspect in custody after officers used a tactical vehicle maneuver to stop a fleeing vehicle Tuesday night. According to information from authorities, the pursuit began shortly before 10 p.m. near Sunshine Street and Fort Avenue in Springfield. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol during the incident. The chase continued through Springfield before ending near Seminole Street and Weller Avenue. During the pursuit, officers used a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver to stop the suspect’s vehicle. Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody at the scene. No injuries were reported. Additional details about the suspect, formal charges, a court date, and what led to the pursuit have not been released as of Thursday morning.
