Seth Meyers Tees Off On A Donald Trump Golf Club Claim

Seth Meyers on Tuesday swung away at President Donald Trump’s assurance that even though he spent Monday at his Miami-area golf club, he had “many important meetings and phone calls.” (Watch the video below.) The “Late Night” host encouraged the so-called “commander in cheat” on the links to not mix business and pleasure. “Hey, man, we’re totally fine if you just play golf,” Meyers said, to laughter. “Every time you have a meeting, we have to change something on the map.” Before addressing Republicans during their retreat on Monday, Trump played golf over the weekend. That marked his 98th day out on the links in his second term, according to didtrumpgolftoday.com. By late November, the president was already on pace to cost Americans more than $300 million for his hobby, according to a HuffPost analysis. Later in Tuesday’s monologue, Meyers taunted the president over health violations at his Trump National Golf Club Westchester in New York “for dirty surfaces, lack of sneeze guards and improperly stacked containers.” “Also, there were classified documents just lying out at the salad bar,” Meyers cracked. The comedian forgot to mention the rodents found on the premises as well. Missed opportunity, Seth!
