DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A restaurant with ties to ex-NFL quarterback Drew Brees is planning to open in the Miami Valley. A spokesperson for Small Sliders confirmed to WDTN.com that the chain is “targeting Dayton and the surrounding areas” for expanding. According to the chain’s franchising website, the company locations are “modular cans,” which are assembled off-site. Crews use a “drop-in-place technique to place the structure on to a property. Menu items include sliders, fries and shakes. Ordering methods at the eatery include a double drive-thru and walk-up window. Locations also offer online ordering. Customers can utilize the dedicated outdoor patio to enjoy their meal. The chain launched in 2019, and received “an early investment” from former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. Small Sliders currently operates in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. A timeline or specific addresses weren’t provided for future area locations. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
