Emergency crews are currently responding to a structure fire at the General Mills factory in Buffalo. Around 9:30 a.m., 2 On Your Side observed thick, white smoke coming from the roof and windows. Flames were not visible, but crews were seen on the roof and around the factory. A firefighter told our crew at the scene that a call came in for a pile of cereal that was on fire. As of 10:45 this morning, the fire was called under control. Buffalo Fire reported that the damage to the building was around $10,000, and the cause was determined to be malfunctioning equipment at the factory. A spokesperson for the city released the following statement: "The Buffalo Fire Department responded to a structure fire today at the General Mills Plant.
